Single-Vehicle Collision under Investigation

The Hamilton Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a single-vehicle collision fatality. A post-mortem is scheduled for later today and an update will follow.

On Sunday, June 9, 2019, after 3:30 a.m., a motorist was operating his 2013 Hyundai Elantra southbound on Woodhill Road in the area of Concession 4 Road West. The vehicle left the roadway, entered the ditch on the west side of the road and struck a hydro pole.

The driver, a male from Lynden succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Further identification details to be confirmed.  

At this time the cause of the collision is unknown. Detectives will be attending the post-mortem later today and an update will be provided afterwards.
