Stabbing Suspect Arrested Without Incident

Stabbing suspect, Jamie Lee Saulteaux has been arrested thanks to a concerned citizen.

On Tuesday, August 18, 2020, shortly before 11:00 a.m., a concerned citizen observed a female matching the description of the suspect involved in the early morning stabbing incident. She was standing outside a residence in the area of Arther Avenue North and Wilson Street. The citizen had seen the suspect's image on a social media post from Hamilton Police. Police were notified and immediately attended the location. The identity of the female was confirmed and she was arrested without incident. At the time of her arrest, Saulteaux was in possession of a weapon. The investigation continues as detectives work to confirm it was the weapon used in the assault.

The victim continues to receive treatment for his injuries and his condition has been upgraded. 

Jamie Lee Saulteaux will have heard matter heard at the John Sopinka Courthouse on Wednesday, August 19, 2020.
