Hamilton Police have successfully arrested 29-year-old Quincy Owen Francis, a fugitive linked to a series of residential break-ins that took place between Saturday, April 6, 2024, and Friday, August 2, 2024.

Quincy Owen Francis now faces multiple charges, including:

• Six Counts of Break and Enter
• Five Counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
• Proceeds of Crime Under $5000
• Two Counts of Vehicle Theft

Investigations have revealed that Quincy is suspected of entering approximately 25 homes across Stoney Creek, Ancaster, and Flamborough. Evidence collected during the investigation has also connected him to residential break-ins in the Niagara Region.

Hamilton Police have been working closely with the Niagara Regional Police Service on their investigations.

At the time of his arrest, Quincy was also wanted in connection with an incident dating back to 2023.

The investigation remains ongoing and more charges are expected to be laid.

On Sunday, May 5, 2024, officers observed a stolen vehicle travelling in the area of Campbell Avenue and Grosvenor Avenue North. Vehicle was being operated by a male driver with a female passenger.

The stolen vehicle was seen pulling into a self-serve car wash at the intersection of Main Street East and Prospect Street South. The male driver exited the vehicle and began to wash it, while a female passenger remained inside. Officers approached and arrested both the man and the woman without incident.

Police conducted a search incident to arrest of a black cross body satchel on Kyle Hunt, which yielded 42.15g of meth, fentanyl 11.37g, 27 dilauded pills, and $610.00 Canadian currency in various denominations.

Police conducted a search incident to arrest of PUTIGNANO, which yielded 0.58g fentanyl, 33.09 g cocaine, 6 clonazepam pills and $660.00 Canadian currency in various denominations.

A search of the vehicle yielded two throwing knives.

Kyle Hunt, a 34-year-old male of Hamilton has been charged for the following;

• Possession for the Purpose Schedule I - Fentanyl
• Possession for the Purpose Schedule I - Methamphetamine

Olivia Putignano, a 32-year-old female of Hamilton has been charged for the following;

An arrest of a 43-year-old man for impaired driving leads to police seizing a loaded firearm.

On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at approximately 4:00 a.m. Hamilton Police responded to a possible impaired driver at a fast food restaurant on Cootes Drive. Upon arrival, police located a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee parked in the drive-thru with an unresponsive single passenger in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.

Police gained entry to the vehicle and checked on the wellbeing of the driver, who was hunched over and appeared sweaty. The driver eventually gained consciousness and was disoriented and unsteady on his feet.

Police arrested the 43-year-old man after locating drugs and evidence to support drug use.

During a search of the vehicle, police located the following;

• 20g of crystal methamphetamine
• 2 glass pipes with residue
• An unloaded Smith and Wesson M and P handgun
• Two magazines containing .45 calibre rounds
• 20 pills of oxycodone

On Thursday, February 8, 2024, as a female was walking in the area of King Street East and Barnesdale Avenue South, she was followed and approached by the male driver of a black Honda Civic.  After a brief interaction, the vehicle left the area in an unknown direction.  No physical contact was initiated during the incident and no one was physically injured.

Hamilton Police have arrested and charged the driver of the suspicious vehicle, 35-year-old, Issa Ahmad Aldeeb of Hamilton with one count of Criminal Harassment. 

Issa Ahmad Aldeeb has been released on an Undertaking.

Additional victims have stepped forward, prompting ongoing police investigations. We believe there may be additional victims and are encouraging them to contact police.

On Friday, January 5, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., police were patrolling in the area of Cannon Street East and Grosvenor Avenue North. During this time, an officer observed a male and identified him as Jason Kane, a wanted individual with an outstanding arrest warrant dating back to June 2023.

Jason Kane was apprehended and taken into custody.

A search incident to arrest revealed Jason Kane to be in possession of a loaded firearm.

Jason Kane has been charged with the following;

• Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
• Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
• Possession of a Prohibited Firearm- Loaded
• Carless Use, Carry, Transport, Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Ammunition
• Carrying Concealed Weapon
• Four counts of Possession Contrary to Order

On Tuesday, June 27, 2023, a volunteer attended the baseball park located at 268 Jerseyville Road, Ancaster and observed that the aluminum bleachers had been stolen. Police liaised with local Metal Recyclers and the Aluminum bleachers were found to have been brought in for scrap metal on the morning of Tuesday, June 27, 2023.

Through investigation, police were able to identify Naithan Bachiu-Tait, a 28-year-old male from Hamilton, as one of the individuals responsible for the theft of the Ancaster Little League bleachers.

On Thursday, July 20, 2023, Naithan Bachiu-Tait was arrested and taken into custody by the police. Bachiu-Tait faces charges of Trafficking in Property Over $5000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, Theft Over $5000, Failure to Comply with Release Order and Three Counts of Failure to Comply with Probation.

On Sunday, July 30, 2023, at approximately 11:05 p.m., Hamilton Police and emergency partners responded to a barn fire in the area of Highway 6 and Concession Rd 6 E in Flamborough.   The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire.  Investigation revealed evidence of a break and enter and the use of an accelerant.      

A 22-year-old male of Hamilton has been arrested and charged with the following:

• CC 434 Arson - Damage to Property

A Hamilton Police investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Hamilton man, for a number of Human Trafficking related offences.

The Hamilton Police Service has arrested and charged, 59-year-old, Gary Leblanc, currently of Hamilton, after an investigation into a report of a sexual assault that occurred between November of 2022 and February of 2023.

On Thursday, June 29, 2023, shortly before 8:00 a.m., Hamilton Police received calls of a male waving and making stabbing motions with a knife at individuals in the area of Hughson Street and King Street East.

Police located the male in the area of James Street and King Street and immediately engaged the male, directing him to drop the knife, to which the male did not comply. The male began to walk towards police with knife in hand and officers conducted a gun-point arrest.

Hamilton Police have arrested 37-year-old, James Rankin for;

• Disobey Court Order

Hamilton Police have arrested Anthony Musgrove, a 27-year-old man from Hamilton, after several sexual assault investigations were conducted involving multiple victims.

Through investigation, it was learned that Anthony Musgrove met the victims and began communicating with them through online/moblie applications.  Musgrove then arranged to meet with the victims by financially enticing them to have their photos taken for social media platforms before sexually assaulting them.

Musgrove was arrested and charged for the following offences:

• Four Counts Sexual Assault
• Resist Peace Officer
• Two Counts Fail to Comply with Release Order

Musgrove is known to be active in other jurisdictions including Toronto and Niagara. Musgrove may have utilized the aliases of: Tony Williams, Tony Stovel and DJ.

On Thursday, February 23, 2023, shortly before 9:30 p.m. an off-duty Hamilton officer observed a possible impaired driver in the area of Upper James Street and Rymal Road and contacted police.

On-duty Hamilton Police officers responded to the area, located the vehicle and after investigation, arrested the driver for impaired driving.

Further investigation revealed the vehicle operator was a disqualified driver.

Hamilton Police responded to complaints of an impaired driver and located a sawed-off shotgun.

On Sunday, February 12, 2023, at approximately 5:00 a.m., Hamilton Police received reports of a possible impaired driver in the area of Barton Street and Sanford Avenue.

Hamilton Police responded to the area, located the vehicle and after investigation, arrested the driver for impaired driving. During the search of the vehicle, police located a sawed off shotgun.  

The 37-year-old male driver has been charged with;

• Operation of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by Drug.
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm.
• Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon.
• Occupant of a Motor Vehicle Knowing There was a Firearm.
• Possession of a Prohibited Firearm.
• Fail to Comply with a Probation Order X2

Hamilton Police have charged a 32-year-old man in relation to a residential fire.

On Monday, December 5, 2022, at approximately 3:35 a.m., Hamilton Police and emergency partners responded to a residential fire on Burton Street. A family with young children were asleep within the residence at the time the house caught fire.

A neighbour extinguished the fire and alerted the residents of the home.  Without the assistance of this person the fire could have resulted in a tragedy.

Hamilton Police have identified and charged, Daniel William Arnold, a 32-year-old man of Cambridge for the following offences;

• Arson - Disregard for Human Life
• Fail to Comply Probation Adult

Hamilton Police have arrested a 42-year-old female in connection with the murder of 38-year-old Danielle Strauss of Hamilton. She is the second adult arrested in the case. 

On Thursday, November 10, 2022, at approximately 11:00 a.m., police responded to 195 Ferguson Avenue North in Hamilton for reports of a deceased 38-year-old female who was found in her apartment. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene. Police believe Danielle died late Sunday evening or early Monday morning.

Today, a 42-year-old female was charged with accessory after the fact of murder in relation to the Strauss homicide. This charge is relation to the 16-year-old male youth currently in custody. 
The Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA) prohibits the investigators from releasing her name as it may lead to the identity of one of the youths charged with 2nd degree murder. The accused will make a brief court appearance tomorrow morning at the John Sopinka Courthouse. 

Detectives continue to investigate those who may have assisted the youth involved in this murder. 

The cause of death is not being released as it remains evidence. Given the age of the suspects and the fact the case is before the courts, additional information will not be released.

Hamilton Police have arrested a 40-year-old female in connection with the murder of 38-year-old Danielle Strauss of Hamilton.

On Sunday, October 23, 2022, shortly after 1:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a shooting in the area of George Street and Caroline Street.

Police can confirm several shots were fired inside a residence and police believe this incident to be targeted.

 The victim, an 18-year-old male sustained non-life-threatening injuries resulting from a gunshot.

Hamilton Police have arrested a 22-year-old male of Hamilton for the following charges;

• Robbery with Firearm
• Aggravated Assault
• Fail to Comply Probation

The 22-year-old male is expected to be in court this afternoon. The investigation into this crime is ongoing.  

Hamilton Police are appealing to area residents to check their security cameras between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, for any suspicious activity and to contact police. On Monday, August 15, 2022, shortly after 9:40 a.m. Hamilton Police received reports of a male appearing in distress with visible injuries running in the area of Oriole Crescent. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

On Sunday, August 14, 2022, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the victim was contacted by an old acquaintance and the two made arrangements to meet up. The victim was picked up from his residence, drove to a few locations, eventually returning to a residence in Hamilton’s east end.

The victim advised he remembers walking through the front door of the residence. Upon entering the residence, he was struck in the back of the head with a foreign object. The victim woke up in a basement, tied to a chair, where he was assaulted by multiple people.

The victim eventually got free, ran out of the residence and sought help from bystanders.

Once confirming the address, Hamilton Police set up a perimeter at the residence and arrested four suspect:

Police are looking to arrest 22-year-old, Aidan Bristol Eydt-Maher, for his involvement in this crime.

In early July 2022, Hamilton Police entered into an investigation after a victim came forward to report an incident of sexual assault from 2017.

On Thursday, August 11, 2022, Chevaughn “Chevy” Adamson of Burlington was arrested and charged with the following offences:

• Sexual Assault
• Sexual Interference

Chevaughn Adamson will appear in court on Monday, September 12, 2022.

At the time of the assault, Chevaughn Adamson was a summer Camp Counsellor at Mohawk College. Adamson has not worked as a camp counsellor at Mohawk College since the summer that the incidents occurred.

On Monday, July 11, 2022, shortly after 2:50 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a break and enter at a residence in the area of Barton Street East and Gage Avenue North.

Three males of Hamilton have been arrested.

Alexander La was wanted by Hamilton Police for a shooting that occurred on Sunday, June 12, 2022, in the area of Hess Street North and Market Street in Hamilton, in which two males sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and several vehicles were damaged.

Marques Griffiths was wanted by Hamilton Police for a separate shooting that occurred on Monday, June 27, 2022, in the area of Main Street East and Fairleigh Avenue South, in which a female sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Marques Griffiths was also wanted on a second warrant by Hamilton Police for two counts of Assault with a Weapon and Possession of a Firearm in relation to an incident from June 23, 2022, on Barton Street East and Melrose Avenue North. 

During the execution of the arrest, police located and seized a stolen vehicle, $2400 in cash and seized three guns. The guns included a sawed off shotgun, a .308 calibre loaded rifle as well as a loaded .22 calibre rifle and over 100 rounds of ammunition. Additional charges are anticipated, pending further investigation.

On Saturday, June 18, shortly after 5:45a.m., Hamilton Police were dispatched to the area of Bay Street and King Street West to assist the Hamilton Fire Department with a vacant building that was fully engulfed in flames.

Police arrived on scene and closed off the roads, as Hamilton Fire worked to contain the fire.

Through investigation, the cause of the fire was deemed suspicious and an arrest has been made;

On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Bruxy Cavey of Hamilton was arrested and charged with Sexual Assault.

Bruxy Cavey will appear in court on Monday, June 27, 2022.

At the time of the assault, Bruxy Cavey was the primary teaching Pastor at The Meeting House Church and was employed there from 1996 to 2021. The Meeting House Church has its headquarters in Oakville; however, has remote locations throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

In the evening hours of Wednesday, June 1, 2022, Hamilton Police arrested two suspects in relation to a stolen auto investigation.  

Members of the Hamilton Police B.E.A.R unit located a stolen auto in the area of Fennell Ave East and Upper Gage Ave.  They followed the vehicle until they were able to safely arrest both occupants in the east end of the city.  During a search of the vehicle, police located a sawed off shotgun, and the upper receiver of an assault rifle style rifle.

Two adults were charged with property and firearm related offences. They remain in custody.

From May 22, 2022 to May 28, 2022, a number of Hamilton Mountain businesses were the victims of break and enters.   The Hamilton Police BEAR Unit took over the investigations and were able to identify the person responsible.  

On Thursday, June 2, 2022, police executed a search warrant in Brantford in relation to these incidents. 

Joey HUDSON was arrested for four of these incidents and is being held pending a bail hearing.

Police investigation results in the seizure of a loaded handgun, ammunition, drugs and cash.

On Thursday, January 13, 2022, the Hamilton Police Gangs and Weapons Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on the Stoney Creek Mountain.

A Hamilton man was arrested and charged with several firearms and drug related offences.

As a result of the search warrant, police located and seized:

• Loaded Browning .22cal handgun
• 11 rounds of ammunition in the magazine
• In excess of $10,000 in cash
• 82 baggies containing small quantities of fentanyl
• Baggies containing small quantities of cocaine

Harmer was brought to Central custody, where he has been held for bail.

On Thursday, November 25, 2021, suspects entered a variety store in the area of King Street West and Caroline Street. One suspect was armed with a gun and the other was armed with a large knife.

On Tuesday, November 30, 2021, two male suspects with similar descriptions as the previously mentioned robbery, entered a variety store in the area of Main Street East and Victoria Avenue. One suspect was armed with a knife.

Investigators from the Hamilton Police Break Enter and Robbery Unit took carriage of the investigation and were able to identify three parties involved in the planning and execution of these offences.

A 47-year-old man from Woodstock has been arrested for a violent sexual assault.

On Tuesday, October 5, 2021, shortly after 5:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a residence for a sexual assault of a woman in her 40s.

Detectives from the Hamilton Police Sexual Assault Unit have carriage of the investigation and believe that there may be more victims as Pasco is known to travel over a large geographical area.

On Friday, June 25, 2021 shortly after 10:30 a.m. Hamilton Police responded to the area of Victoria Avenue South and Young Street in Hamilton. A 38-year-old male was located in a wooded area and pronounced deceased on scene.

The death was suspicious and the Hamilton Police Major Crime Unit assumed the investigation. The deceased has been identified as Jed Anger Junior a 38-year-old man of Hamilton. 

A postmortem was able to determine the cause of death, however the manner of death was unable to be determined.

Through continued investigation the Major Crime Unit has learned there was an altercation between Jed and two people in the wooded area that resulted in the Jed's death.

Now that charges are before the courts, investigators will not discuss evidence as it pertains to the case.

This was an isolated incident and there is no risk to the public.

The Major Crime Unit is not looking for any more suspects.

On July 13, 2020, shortly before 5:30 a.m., Police was dispatched to Payless Convenience Store located at 146 Kenilworth Avenue Street North in Hamilton for an attempted robbery. The suspect told the clerk he had a gun and demanded money from the cash register. He was last seen leaving the store on his e-bike.

The male was identified through investigative measures and police safely execute the arrest warrant at his Catharine Street residence. The initial threat of a gun was an intimidation tactic and no gun actually existed.

This investigation group was formed as a result of the Coroner’s inquest into the overdose deaths inside the detention centre. The Hamilton Police Service Intelligence Unit and the Hamilton Wentworth Detention Centre jointly conducted a six-month investigation in relation to two Correctional Officers distributing illicit cannabis as well as other contraband to inmates within the Hamilton Wentworth Detention Centre.

As a result of the investigation, former Correctional Officers James Mcrae and Pierre-Luc Plouffe were charged. Both worked independently of one another to distribute contraband within the Hamilton Wentworth Detention Centre and are no longer employed as Correctional Officers.

On Saturday, May 30, 2020, shortly before 9:00 p.m., an altercation occurred between two males in the Bottoms Up Bar & Grill parking lot on Barton Street East in Hamilton. A 32-year-old male received serious injuries to his face and neck by a knife. The assailant fled the scene on foot but was located several blocks away by uniform officers. At this time he was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Weapons Offences and Breach of Probation.

The victim was located and transported to the hospital in serious condition.

On Monday, June 8, 2020, further evidence was received resulting in the case to be transferred to the Hamilton Police Major Crime Unit. The accused of No Fixed Address appeared in court by video on June 9, 2020, and charged with Attempt Murder. He remains in custody.

On June 10^th and 11^th, 2020, the City of Hamilton Public Works assisted police by recovering the weapon in a sewer area close by to the offence.

On May 26, 2020, shortly after 2:15 a.m., police noticed a silver 2019 Chevrolet Malibu emerge from an alleyway on Burton Street and Emerald Street in Hamilton. Prior to conducting a traffic stop police confirmed the Chevrolet plates were registered to a car rental company in London.

Police stopped the vehicle on Burton Street just south of Emerald. During the investigation police learned the driver and passenger had outstanding warrants with Ottawa and Hamilton Police Services.

During the search of the vehicle police located Methamphetamine, Codeine and Fentanyl with an approximate street worth of $26,800 and over $5000 in cash.

The two Hamilton males were arrested and brought into custody with their bail opposed.

Hamilton Police Vice and Drugs officers conducted an investigation and execute a search warrant at an address in the city’s east end and arrested a male and female who reside at that address. A large quantity of cocaine and cash were recovered.

On May 7, 2020, the Vice and Drug Unit executed a search warrant in the early morning hours at a residence in the city’s east end. During a search of the address officers located a large quantity of cocaine valued at approximately $400,000.00 and seized in excess of $150,000.00 in cash. A couple residing at that address has been arrested and charged.

The outstanding male involved in a West Mountain home invasion has been arrested in Burlington.

On January 21, 2020, shortly after 9:00 a.m., three individuals were involved in a home invasion on Garth and West 5^th in Hamilton. The homeowner received minor injuries when he was struck over the head with a weapon and pepper-sprayed.

Two out of the three parties were arrested and Hamilton Police issued an arrest warrant for the outstanding male.

On February 19, 2020, shortly after 10:00 a.m., with the help of Halton Regional Police, Joshua Benoit was located inside a Burlington Hotel room. He was arrested without incident and brought back to Hamilton Police custody where he awaits bail court.

The male suspect was identified as residing in Hamilton and a search warrant was executed at his home on January 16, 2020. When police arrived, the male was attempting to discard evidence by throwing it out a window. The evidence was located and seized and the suspect was arrested and charged. A forensic examination of devices capable of storing digital media is ongoing and it is possible that further charges may be filed.

On January 29, 2020, shortly before 10:00 p.m., an out of town person exited their parked vehicle from an underground parking spot in the area of King Street West and Bay Street North in Hamilton. The woman began walking from her car when she was grabbed from behind by an unknown male.

Hamilton police were able to confirm his identity through investigative techniques. On January 30, 2020, shortly before 5:30 p.m., police located the male at the Toronto Pearson International Airport waiting to board a plane home. The male was arrested and brought back to Hamilton Police were he remains in custody with his bail opposed.

In December 2019, Hamilton Police received information about a 19-year-old male Human Trafficker who persuaded a young woman into the sex trade with drugs.  Police identified the male and issued a warrant for his arrest.

Police located the male on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at an east-end Hamilton residence. He was arrested and transported to Central Custody with his bail opposed.

On Wednesday, December 4, 2019, shortly after 1:00 a.m., police and Hamilton Fire responded to numerous small fires in the areas of Cayley Court, Parkside Avenue, York Road, Cameron Avenue, McKay Court and East Avenue North in Dundas. Hamilton Fire had been called to extinguish fires to recycling bins, piles of leaves and personal outdoor items left outside residential homes.

A male fitting the suspect description was stopped by police while walking down the middle of Cayley Court shortly before 1:30 a.m. During a conversation with the suspect, police were able to identify evidence which placed him at the scene of the arsons.

The youth has been charged with several criminal offences with the potential to lay more charges as the investigation continues.

On August 28, 2019, shortly before 11:00 a.m., police responded to a 911 call from a resident on Brigade Drive in Hamilton. The victim indicated there were two unknown males inside the home and feared for their safety.

Police arrived and arrested one male on the scene but the second armed male escaped. A local school was placed into a hold and secure at the time.

On November 13, 2019, shortly after 4:00 p.m., Hamilton Police located the outstanding male suspect getting into a vehicle near his residence in Grimsby and placed him under arrest. The weapon was not recovered.

On October 19, 2019, shortly before 4:00 p.m., police attended the area of 3 Emerald Street North in Hamilton for mischief in progress call. There were reports of someone spray-painting Nazi symbols on a dumpster.

When police arrived they observed Swastikas, SS Lightning Bolt symbols as well as hate/bias-related speech sprayed with black paint on the exterior of a garbage bin. Police checked the area and located male hiding behind the dumpster with evidence placing him at the scene.

Hamilton Police Major Fraud Unit has charged a Stoney Creek CIBC Bank Manager with Fraud.

On April 25, 2019, Major Fraud received a report from CIBC Corporate Security regarding an internal investigation alleging one of their employees had stolen a large sum of money from branch customers. The employee had resigned in 2015.

A lengthy investigation commenced and revealed approximately 1.7 million dollars had been stolen from seniors or recently deceased branch customers from 2008 to 2015.

On September 24, 2019, police arrested and charged 60-year-old Sandra Walker from Burlington with fraud charges.

Walker was released on a Promise to Appear and expected to appear in court on October 24, 2019, at 9:00 a.m.

Police have arrested a male for graffiti after he is observed spray painting tags on buildings and bus shelters in the area of Barton Street East and Milton Avenue in Hamilton.

On September 18, 2019, shortly before 9:00 p.m., police were called to the area of Barton Street East to check on a male spray painting exterior walls and bus shelters. When Police arrived they noticed a male fitting the description walking westbound on Barton Street with a spray can hanging out from his jacket pocket. He was placed under arrest for Mischief and during the search police located Crystal Methamphetamine and Fentanyl in his possession.

He was transported back to Central custody with his bail opposed and expected to appear in court on September 19, 2019, to answer to his charges.

When police arrived shortly before 1: 30 a.m., a 35-year-old male from Brantford was suffering from serious stab wounds to the chest. Police identified that the male and female were known to each other prior to the altercation.

The male was transported to the hospital in serious condition. A 32-year-old female from Hamilton has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault. She remains in custody and expected to attend court later today.

On August 26, 2019, shortly after 10:00 a.m. police conducted a routine traffic stop in the area of Woodward Avenue and Glow Avenue in Hamilton. The 2012 Hyundai was occupied by a male driver and passenger. The driver was unable to provide police with any identification. However, through further investigation police identified that the male was wanted by HPS for fail to appear court so he was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

While searching the vehicle police observed in plain view a large bronze plaque and backpack with break and enter tools inside sitting on the back seat of the vehicle. The plaque was 2x4 feet in size, weighing 150-200 lbs with a depiction of the Dieppe Veterans Memorial Park and a caption detailing the single bloodiest day for the Canadian Military during WW2.

Police believed at this time the plaque had been stolen and continued with his investigation. The officer located the Dieppe Veterans Memorial Park at 1033 Beach Boulevard in Hamilton, approximately 3 km away from the traffic stop.

Police attended the park and found the plaque to be missing.

The value of the plaque is estimated at $30,000.

Both males were arrested for theft and possession of the stolen property and transported to Central Custody with their bail opposed.

On January 15, 2019, shortly after 9:00 p.m., four males attended the Shoppers Drug Mart, located at 963 Fennell Avenue East in Hamilton, armed with a loaded firearm. A pharmacist was ordered to fill a garbage bag with narcotics. The suspects fled from the store and no physical injuries were sustained. Hours later, Police recovered the garbage bag of narcotics, the loaded firearm and two associated stolen motor vehicles.

After a six month investigation, four males were identified and have since been arrested and charged with over 55 Robbery and Firearms related offences.

Charged:

• Erik Kalanyos (23-years, male) of Hamilton
• Petr Krajnak (20-years, male) of Hamilton
• 17-year-old male from Hamilton
• 16-year-old male from Hamilton

The investigation is ongoing and Police expect to make additional arrests.
