On August 24, 2024, a man and his son were assaulted at the Tim Hortons located at 1242 Highway 8 in Stoney Creek. The incident began when the victims confronted a group of males in the parking lot after the group refused to lower their loud music, which was disturbing nearby homes. The confrontation quickly escalated into a physical altercation, during which one of the victims was struck on the head with a baseball bat, sustaining serious injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Grimsby resident Nicolas Cappella has been charged with the following offences:

• Attempted Murder
• Assault with a Weapon
• Utter Threats to Cause Death (x2)

This investigation is ongoing and police are appealing to the public for information leading to the arrest of other individuals involved in this incident.

Officers were on patrol around 9:20 p.m. at the Winona Peach Festival when they observed a disturbance break out near the midway between two males. This took place at a time and location that was filled with hundreds of people, including children and families. As officers approached, bystanders alerted them that one suspect had a firearm.

A 23-year-old male was quickly arrested and was found to be in possession of a firearm, with a high-capacity magazine and ammunition. He faces numerous charges, including possessing a loaded firearm and possessing a prohibited weapon. The actions of these officers prevented what could have been a significant tragedy.

At 10:30 p.m., police were called to another disturbance in a parking lot close to the Winona Peach Festival where a group of four males were attacking another male with a baseball bat. The suspects fled when police arrived and the 53-year-old victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police continue to search for the suspects.

At 11:45 p.m., police responded to a shooting in the parking lot of Peddles Tavern located at 1490 Barton Street East. A 20-year-old male and 28-year-old male sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were uncooperative with police. The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s with dreadlocks and a ponytail, wearing dark clothing and a hoodie.

On August 25, at 6:00 a.m., Hamilton Police responded to shots fired at Club 33, 33 Bowen Street. Upon arrival, police located three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Two males and a female victim were transported to hospital with serious injuries. All victims are in their 20s.

The suspect is described as a white male, with blonde hair, light beard, wearing a black Blue Jays baseball cap, white shirt and black jeans.

There have been ongoing issues with licensed establishments in the area. Hamilton Police continue to work closely with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario to revoke licenses to address the violent incidents at these locations.

The Shooting Response Team has taken over the investigations into the shootings.

On Sunday, June 16, 2024, Hamilton Police were called to 22 Parkside Drive in the City of Hamilton for an incident which is currently being investigated by Provincial Animal Welfare Services as they are the agency who investigate animal cruelty in Ontario. 

Sometime between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on June 19, 2024 individuals broke into 22 Parkside Drive and stole the occupant’s dog - a medium sized black dog named Buster.  The entry itself was captured on video by the perpetrators and then widely shared on social media. 

Shortly after 7:00 p.m. Hamilton Police were called to the area of Bond Street North at Norwood Road for a street disturbance.  The occupants of 22 Parkside Drive had attempted to return home and were prevented from doing so when confronted by a group of people, one of whom threw a water bottle at the female’s face.  This incident was also captured on video and shared on social media. 

On June 29, a 45-year-old Hamilton woman turned herself in to Hamilton Police for an assault captured on video. On July 4, the male and female wanted in connection to the break and enter were also arrested.

On Wednesday, June 19, 2024, Hamilton Police were dispatched to the area of Bond St. North and Norwood Rd in Westdale for a street disturbance. A large crowd of people were gathered around a car and trying to pull a woman from her vehicle. The woman was assaulted and her phone stolen in the process. Police arrived and were able to escort the victim to safety.  During the investigation, it was discovered that the victim’s residence had been broken into and her dog had been stolen.

The group had gathered to protest the death of a dog in the individual’s care. That incident and subsequent reports of animal abuse at the residence are under investigation by the provincial Animal Welfare Service as they are the agency responsible for responsible for enforcing the Provincial Animal Welfare Services Act.

Hamilton Police respect the right to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly. Our goal is to keep the peace and maintain a safe environment for everyone. As a reminder, there is a distinction between activism and criminality. We encourage peaceful protest and individuals found breaking the law will be charged accordingly.

Police are currently investigating the assault with a weapon, break and enter as well as the theft of the dog. The Hamilton Police Forensics Unit is onsite to process evidence in the break and enter. Shortly before 9:00 a.m. on January 6, 2024, a distraught 26-year-old female attended Christ Cathedral on James St. North suffering from significant injuries. The victim said she had been held captive at an unknown apartment where she had been seriously assaulted.

Officers were able to determine the assault had taken place at an apartment at 181 Jackson Street. Police secured the area and arrested three individuals. After investigation, a 32-year-old male from Hamilton was charged with the following offences:

• Aggravated assault
• Utter threat
• Assault with a weapon
• Choking

On Saturday, July 15, 2023, shortly before 12:00 p.m. Hamilton Police responded to Woodlands Park after receiving information about a serious assault in the park. Upon arrival officers located a 37-year-old male victim without vital signs.  The male was transported to hospital, underwent emergency surgery and remains in critical condition.

At this time police are seeking suspects and ask anyone who may have witnessed this crime to come forward.

Hamilton Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in an unprovoked attack on a security guard.

On Saturday, June 17, 2023, shortly before 4:30p.m. an unknown male jumped over a barrier separating Whitehern Museum and City Hall. Upon entering the property belonging to Whitehern Museum, the suspect punched the security guard. The security guard quickly retreated to the security office safely and contacted police.

As a result of the assault, the security guard was transported to hospital, where he sought medical treatment for his injuries.  

The suspect in this unprovoked stranger assault is described as;

Hamilton Police Seek Witnesses in J.C Beemer Park Assault

Hamilton Police are seeking the assistance of the public in an ongoing investigation into a serious assault that occurred on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at approximately 4:45 p.m. The incident took place at an encampment located at 68 Victoria Avenue North - J.C. Beemer Park, resulting in a female being attacked and slashed with an edged weapon.

The Hamilton Police Service is asking anyone who may have witnessed the assault or has any information regarding the incident to assist with the investigation.

Based on the preliminary information gathered thus far, the suspect is described as a white male, believed to be in his late twenties.  At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing a distinctive salmon-coloured tank top and shorts.

Hamilton Police confirm the death of the 45-year-old victim from the assault at J.C. Beemer Park on Thursday, June 22, 2023.

With permission of the family, Hamilton Police can identify the victim as Antonio (Anthony) Beltrano of Hamilton.

Craig Brooks of Hamilton will be facing 2^nd degree murder charges.

On Friday, June 23, 2023, 37-year-old Craig Brooks was charged with Aggravated Assault and remains in custody. Police are not seeking any other suspects.

On Thursday, June 22, 2022 shortly before 9:30 a.m. Hamilton Police received a 911 call for an assault in progress. Officers were on scene within minutes of the call however the suspect had fled prior to police arrival. Officers responded to the pavilion area of the park and begun providing life saving measures to the 45-year-old male victim.

Officers continued to follow all leads and arrested Craig Brooks within an hour of the incident in the area of King Street East and Emerald Street South.

The victim remains in life-threatening condition.

On Sunday, June 4, 2023, between the hours of 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., in the area of Heritage Green Shopping Center located at 1797 Stone Church Road East three male suspects assaulted two individuals and fled the area in a black Honda Civic.

Through continued investigation, the suspect vehicle was located and two suspects were identified and arrested for assault. They will appear in court at a future date.

The third suspect remains outstanding and investigators are looking for the public’s assistance in his identification.

This investigation is ongoing, and investigators are appealing to citizens who were in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident or have video, to contact police.

On Tuesday, April 18, 2023, shortly before 9:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a stabbing incident in the area of Main Street East near Melrose Avenue South and Prospect Street South.  An unknown suspect attacked a citizen while the suspect was confronted after rummaging through the victim’s garbage.

Shortly after the incident, the suspect left the area on foot in an unknown direction.

Hamilton Police have arrested Anthony Musgrove, a 27-year-old man from Hamilton, after several sexual assault investigations were conducted involving multiple victims.

Through investigation, it was learned that Anthony Musgrove met the victims and began communicating with them through online/moblie applications.  Musgrove then arranged to meet with the victims by financially enticing them to have their photos taken for social media platforms before sexually assaulting them.

Musgrove was arrested and charged for the following offences:

• Four Counts Sexual Assault
• Resist Peace Officer
• Two Counts Fail to Comply with Release Order

Musgrove is known to be active in other jurisdictions including Toronto and Niagara. Musgrove may have utilized the aliases of: Tony Williams, Tony Stovel and DJ.

On Friday, February 24, 2023, shortly after 8:00 a.m., a 47-year-old female was walking west on the south sidewalk on King Street West, when a male travelling in the opposite direction slapped the female as they walked past one another.

The male suspect and female victim were unknown to another.

The victim contacted police and provided a suspect description. Shortly thereafter, police located and arrested the suspect. During the execution of the arrest, the accused uttered racial slurs directed at the victim to the officers.

A 44-year-old man of Hamilton has been charged with Assault Level One. This incident is being reviewed by the Hamilton Police Hate Crime Unit.

On Thursday, August 25, 2022, two women reported separate incidents of being touched by a male riding by on a bicycle. The incidents took place on the Chedoke Trail near Chedoke Golf Course. Hamilton Police believe the incidents yesterday are connected; however, do not have information at this time that the suspect in the incidents from yesterday is involved in previous incidents on the trails. 
 

The assaults come after several incidents that have occurred on Hamilton trails since June 2022. As a result of these incidents the Hamilton Police Service has deployed extra resources to increase police presence on area trails to help ensure community safety.

The male proceeded to assault her, but was interrupted by witnesses walking by the area. The male then fled on foot southbound towards Upper Paradise and was later seen on video in the area of Edgehill Dr.

“This was a violent daytime assault and we need the public’s help in identifying the suspect before he acts again. We encourage anyone who may recognize him to contact police or CrimeStoppers. Thankfully, witnesses were able to intervene during the attack otherwise we could have been dealing with different outcomes,” says Detective Sergeant Jennifer Currie.

Police have information that the suspect may attend or have recently graduated a high school in the area. Staff and students at local high schools are encouraged to review the image and contact investigators if they recognize him.

• Black COVID mask (worn up and underneath his mouth/chin)

Hamilton Police are investigating an assault with a weapon that occurred on Monday, May 16, 2022.

On Monday, May 16, 2022, at approximately 2:45a.m. an unknown male suspect entered a business in downtown Hamilton and selected merchandise before leaving without any attempt to pay. When confronted by an employee outside of the business the suspect brandished an unknown weapon and cut the employee before fleeing on foot southbound on John Street South.  

Investigators are appealing for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect for this assault. Hamilton Police are investigating a serious assault where we believe the victim has sustained a serious injury. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

On Wednesday, May 4, 2022, shortly before 11:00 a.m., Hamilton Police were called to the area of Parkdale Avenue North and Melvin Avenue for a report of a serious assault. The victim fled the scene prior to police arrival.

On Monday, January 3, 2022, at approximately 9:15 p.m., a male was approached by an unknown suspect when he was leaving his vehicle near Quigley Road and King Street East. The suspect assaulted the victim using an unknown weapon. The victim remains in hospital in critical condition.

The suspect is approximately six feet tall with an average build and wore a black leather jacket, white hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and dark shoes. The suspect left the area on foot.

On October 21, 2021, at approximately 2:00 a.m., police responded to a female in distress near Dunsmure Road. The female reported she had been picked up by an unknown male. While parked near Adeline Ave and Dunsmure Road, the male became aggressive and pulled out a steel pipe and threatened to beat her with it. The woman managed to escape the vehicle and fled on foot through the parking lot yelling for help.

Earlier in the evening, police responded to reports of a suspicious person near Lawrence Rd and Mount Albion Road. Upon arrival, police learned a woman had been picked up by a male in a dark-coloured Jeep. The woman became fearful after seeing the male holding a knife in his lap. The woman got out of the car after the male ordered her to exit when he approached a Hamilton Police RIDE lane.

The suspect is believed to be driving a black SUV or Jeep and is described as:

Hamilton police have identified, arrested and charged the suspect responsible for this assault.

On Thursday, September 30, 2021 just before 3:30 p.m., a lone victim was assaulted by an unknown suspect while walking the Caleb’s Walk Trail in the area of Dalewood Crescent and Oak Knoll Drive in Hamilton's west end.

Investigators have now arrested the male responsible for this assault and want to thank the public for their assistance.

At this time investigators are asking for any residents in the area that have not yet reviewed their video surveillance for suspicious behaviour on Thursday, September 30, 2021 between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, Hamilton police responded to the area of Wentworth Street North and Cannon Street East for a report of a male brandishing a knife.

Two City of Hamilton waste management employees were in the course of their duties when they were approached by a male who brandished a knife in their direction. The employees were able to retreat from the situation safely and call police.

The male will have his matter addressed at the John Sopinka Courthouse later today where he will be facing several criminal charges.

The officer, who is 47, has been a member of Hamilton Police Service for 16 years.

The officer faces the following charges:

The officer will appear in court on April 23 and is suspended from duty. The officer and the victim were known to each other. Hamilton Police will not be releasing the officer's name in order to protect the identity of the victim. 

On Thursday, April 15, 2021, at approximately 10:00 a.m., witnesses called police after a male was seen assaulting and threatening two unknown males outside of Jackson Square, on James Street North.

Police are attempting to identify and make contact with the two victims.

Further, the male also approached an adult woman in the downtown core and sexually assaulted her. The suspect and the female were not known to each other. Investigators believe there are other victims.

SERIEAUX remains in custody.

On Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at approximately 12:32 p.m., police responded to the area of Barton Street East and Wellington Street North for an assault that had just occurred.

Upon arrival it was learned that a male walking by a mother and her child threw a lit cigarette into her stroller. The cigarette landed just below the child’s eye. The child was assessed on scene and released with minimal injuries.

The assault was unprovoked.

The victim and the accused are not known to one another.

The suspect fled on foot.

Police investigated, located and arrested a 44-year-old Hamilton man shortly after.

On Monday, March 22, 2021, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to the intersection of Main Street North and John Street East in Waterdown, in regards to a stabbing that had just occurred. Police learned that the victim was walking with his spouse in the area when the suspect approached and stabbed him multiple times without provocation. The spouse was knocked to the ground during the incident and she received minor injuries. The victim was transported to hospital and treated for his injuries.

The suspect was believed to be carrying an edged weapon and was last seen fleeing the area, eastbound on John Street East towards Mill Street North. Police are asking the public to check their security cameras for any suspicious activity. Expect a police presence in the area as they canvass for witnesses and video surveillance footage.

If members of the public have any information as to the whereabouts of the suspect, they are asked not to approach him and to call 911 immediately.

On Thursday, February 25, 2021, shortly after 4:00 a.m., Hamilton Police responded to a business in the area of Glover Road and Twenty Road East for a report of an assault.

Once on scene, officers located two female victims, one in her late 40’s and the other in her late teens. Both victims had received multiple stab wounds.

The victims were transported to hospital, where they are currently in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 39-year–old Hamilton man was arrested for two counts of aggravated assault a short time after and was taken into police custody.

The two victims and the arrested male are all employees of the business.

The Division Three Criminal Investigation Branch have taken over the investigation that remains ongoing. A police presence is expected in the area for the majority of the day.

The victim was attacked from behind by three male suspects while a fourth person remained in a nearby vehicle. One of the male suspects sprayed the victim with a substance similar to bear spray.

After the assault, all three suspects fled to the nearby vehicle. The vehicle then fled the scene.

The victim received treatment for minor injuries, including the irritant that was sprayed.

The vehicle involved is a four door black Ford Fusion, approximately 2010, with winter tires on the front and regular tires on the rear.

Detectives are appealing to the public, in the identification of the three suspects.

The irritant was sprayed on the victim by suspect three.

On Friday, February 12, 2021, shortly after 1:30 a.m., Hamilton Police responded to a residence in the area of Quigley Road and Angus Road for a report of an assault. Once on scene, officers located a male in his mid-40’s with injuries to his upper body consistent with being stabbed. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 48-year–old male was arrested at the scene without incident and police have confirmed he is the brother of the victim. He was taken into police custody.

The investigation has been taken over by the Division Two Criminal Investigation Branch.

The scene is being held therefore a police presence is expected in the area for the majority of the morning.

Criminal charges are not being released at this time as the investigation remains ongoing.

On Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to reports of a disturbance in the area of 646 Main Street East. Once on scene, officers located a 30-year-old Hamilton man with injuries consistent with being stabbed. The male was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, he is considered to be in critical condition.

The Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation and the scene is currently being held. A police presence is expected to be in the area for the majority of the day.

It is early in the investigation, an update will be provided later today.

On Tuesday, December 22, 2020, shortly after 3:00 p.m. Hamilton Police responded to the area of James Street North and Robert Street for reports of a person in crisis. Officers used de-escalation techniques and minimal force to secure the male. During the incident, three officers were injured and they were transported to the hospital with various injuries to their neck and head.

The male sustained minor injuries before being safely apprehended and transported to the hospital for an assessment.

The officers received medical treatment and have since been released from the hospital. They are currently at home recovering from their injuries.

While police services routinely respond for calls of this nature, yesterday’s incident reminds us of the importance of community safety and the fact that no call for service is routine.

On Thursday, December 17, 2020, shortly after 11:00 p.m., police responded to the Salvation Army located at 94 York Boulevard for reports of a male with a weapon. Once on scene, police located a 49-year-old male with facial injuries believed to have been caused by a sharp-edged weapon. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition with serious injuries. Police secured the immediate area and searched for the suspect. A short time later a 34-year-old male was located within the building. He was arrested without incident and taken into police custody.

A large knife was located at the scene and it was seized as evidence. Police believe it was used in the assault.

Through investigation, police learned the males are clients of the shelter and believe the incident was targeted.

The suspect will have his matter addressed at the John Sopinka Courthouse later today where he will be facing several criminal charges.

As a result of an assault investigation that occurred over the weekend, an arrest warrant has been issued for 29-years-old Angelo Miller from Hamilton. He is considered armed and dangerous, if seen do not approach, contact 9-1-1.

On Sunday, December 13, 2020, the Hamilton Police Service became involved in the investigation of a violent assault that occurred during the night between December 12 and December 13. Based on the details obtained and evidence collected, police formed reasonable grounds to believe that Angelo Miller held a victim against her will and assaulted her with a weapon. Investigators believe this was a targeted attack.

On December 14, 2020, a search warrant was executed at the unit belonging to Angelo Miller, located at 825 Concession Street in Hamilton.

While the injuries sustained by the victim are considered to be serious, they are not considered to be life-threatening.

Investigators are aware of the proximity between the two recent incidents that occurred in the area. They continue to investigate to determine if there are any connections. 

The assault investigation remains ongoing.

On Sunday, November 29, 2020, shortly after 9:30 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to the area of Barton Street East and Kenilworth Avenue North, for reports of a person with a weapon. Once on scene, officers located the victim, a male in his late 20’s. He advised that he was inside a local business when a male verbally accosted him. The male made several derogatory statements to the victim referencing sexual orientation. The situation escalated resulting in the male chasing the victim outside of the business with a knife while threatening his life.

As officers interviewed the victim, the suspect was located and arrested without incident. During the search of the suspect police discovered he was in possession of brass knuckles, an undisclosed amount of Fentanyl, pieces of identification that were not in his name and the knife believed to have been used in the incident.

The suspect was taken into police custody and his matter was addressed at the John Sopinka Courthouse on Monday, November 30, 2020, where he faced several criminal charges.

The victim was not physically harmed.

On Wednesday, September 2, 2020, shortly after 5:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to the area of Sanatorium Road and Rice Avenue after receiving a report of a road rage incident. The information provided described a physical altercation between a male who was walking on the sidewalk and another male who was operating a silver Dodge Caravan. Due to an unknown reason, the driver exited his vehicle and verbally confronted the pedestrian. The situation escalated, the driver assaulted the pedestrian and then fled the scene. The pedestrian, a 60-year-old Hamilton man, later attended a local medical facility to receive treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

On Wednesday, September 9, 2020, shortly after 2:30 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a report of an assault at the Dave Andreychuk Arena, located at 25 Hester Street. The facility is currently being used as a drive-through COVID-19 assessment centre.

Once on scene, officers were informed about an incident that involved a male who had attended for testing. Not satisfied with the testing procedure he became irate with a staff member and shouted expletives. Due to his actions the assessment was stopped, he was asked to attend another facility and the staff member walked away. The male continued to verbally accost her while throwing his cup at her. The cup struck the employee and she was covered with its contents. The male was a passenger in a vehicle which immediately fled the scene.

Through continued investigation, a residential address was identified for the male. Shortly before 4:30 p.m., police attended that location and spoke with him. As a result of the information available to police, he was arrested without incident and later released. The male is scheduled to appear at the John Sopinka Courthouse on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, to answer to the criminal charge of assault with a weapon.

The staff member was not physically injured in the incident.

On Tuesday, August 25, 2020, shortly before 8:00 a.m., waste collectors for the City of Hamilton attended an encampment located in the area of 195 Ferguson Avenue, North. At that time, they were in the process of collecting waste when they were approached by a male from the encampment. Without provocation, the suspect assaulted one of the employees.

Upon arrival, police located the suspect who attempted to flee the scene. He was secured and then arrested. The male was released a short time later as a decision was made by the victim to not proceed with criminal charges.

On Wednesday, September 2, 2020, Hamilton Police were made aware the effects of the injuries sustained by the victim were more serious than initially believed and that the victim in this assault wished to support criminal charges against the suspect.

On Thursday, September 3, 2020, shortly before 6:30 a.m., a 25-year-old Hamilton man was charged with Assault Level One and Breach Probation.

The victim continues to recover from his injuries.

On Tuesday, August 18, 2020, shortly before 11:00 a.m., a concerned citizen observed a female matching the description of the suspect involved in the early morning stabbing incident. She was standing outside a residence in the area of Arther Avenue North and Wilson Street. The citizen had seen the suspect's image on a social media post from Hamilton Police. Police were notified and immediately attended the location. The identity of the female was confirmed and she was arrested without incident. At the time of her arrest, Saulteaux was in possession of a weapon. The investigation continues as detectives work to confirm it was the weapon used in the assault.

The victim continues to receive treatment for his injuries and his condition has been upgraded.

On Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at approximately 1:00 a.m., two residents of the Jerelday Lodge located at 418 Main Street East were socializing in a room when the suspect without provocation stabbed the victim and quickly fled the scene. Hamilton Police were contacted, immediately attended and secured the area. The victim, a 35-year-old Hamilton man was transported to the hospital and is currently in stable condition with life-threatening injuries.

The suspect remains outstanding along with the weapon used.

As a result of a subsequent assault complaint, the Surete du Québec arrested an off-duty 22-year-member of the Hamilton Police Service. The  member was released from custody and is scheduled to have his matter addressed on October 13, 2020 at the Courthouse located at 30 rue John Campbell’s Bay in Québec. The other individual involved in this matter is also facing charges pertaining to the altercation. 

Constable Jeff Coleman is charged with Assault Level One.

Hamilton Police Service will also be conducting an investigation under the Police Services Act. 

On June 5, 2020, shortly before 7:30 a.m., police attended Gage Park at 1000 Main Street East in Hamilton for a disturbance.

When police arrived it appeared a 40-year-old female and an 83-year-old male had been randomly assaulted by an unknown male on a pathway west of the Fountain which continues along the gravel pathway towards Gage Avenue. Both victims were transported to the hospital and their medical status is still being assessed. No weapons were used.

A 43-year-old male was arrested at the scene and remains in custody. Assault-related charges are expected to be laid.

The investigation is ongoing as detectives continue to determine the motive for the assault.

On Tuesday, May 19, 2020, shortly after 10:30 p.m. Hamilton Police received information about a disturbance inside a residence located in the area of King Street East and Gage Avenue South. Officers immediately responded and secured the area which included closing King Street from Gage Avenue South to East Bend Avenue South.

Through continued investigation, police learned an assault had occurred inside the residence and a firearm was present. During the following hours, detectives applied for a search warrant. The warrant was granted and shortly after 7:00 am. Tactical officers entered the residence and no suspects were located inside.

As a result of the search, police have recovered firearms, controlled substances, as well as evidence of the alleged assault. Criminal charges are expected to be laid accordingly.

The two victims injured during the assault did not require medical attention and are expected to make a full recovery.
