Hamilton Police are releasing images of suspects involved in the Bayfront Park stabbing that occurred in August of 2023. 

On Saturday, August 26, 2023 at approximately 2:20 a.m. Hamilton Police responded to Bayfront Park, where two individuals in their 20's were injured in an altercation involving an edged weapon.

Through investigation, it is believed a dispute occurred between a group of individuals in the park, which escalated to two males being stabbed. The victims were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  

Investigators are appealing for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects involved.

Hamilton Police make arrest in serious stabbing incident at commercial business.

On Friday, February 3, 2023, at approximately 1:48p.m., a lone male entered a commercial business located at 1660 Upper James Street. While inside the business, the male suspect proceeded to attack an employee with an edged weapon causing serious injuries.

The suspect was described as a thin male with black hair and receding hairline, wearing a green camo-pattern winter jacket, a trapper hat, blue mask and grey khakis.

On Thursday, February 9, 2023, Hamilton Police arrested 34-year-old, Muneeb Ali Ghawar, male of Hamilton for the following charges;

• Aggravated Assault
• Robbery
• Disguise with Intent

The victim was transported to hospital in stable condition and has since been released from hospital.

On Thursday, November 3, 2022, shortly before 12:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to Nora Frances Henderson Secondary School, after reports of an individual outside of the school with an edged weapon.

Police responded to the school and arrested a 16-year-old male youth.

A 16-year-old female youth was taken to hospital with minor injuries sustained from the edged weapon.

The 16-year-old male youth has been charged with Assault with a Weapon.

Hamilton Police recognize the importance of school safety and how a threat of this nature can be difficult for students, staff and their families. Police take incidents like these extremely seriously.

The Hamilton Police responded to the area and determined that during the dispute several persons incurred injuries from an edged weapon. The injured persons did not suffer life threatening injuries. A 36 year-old male was arrested in relation to the incident and charged with aggravated assault and three counts of assault with a weapon and possession of weapons dangerous to public peace. There are no outstanding suspects.
