On Monday, July 11, 2022 around 8:30 a.m., an unknown man exposed himself to a victim who had been using the trails close to Sulphur Springs Road and Mineral Springs Road. The victim fled the area and the suspect went in the opposite direction. The suspect is described as a black male, late 30’s to early 40’s, thin build, short black hair, approximately six feet tall wearing a blue t-shirt.

Later that evening at approximately 9:30 p.m., an unknown man exposed himself to a victim who was using the Mountain Brow Path by East 36^th Street. The suspect is described as a brown male, short beard, short black hair, approximately 5’10, medium build wearing black shorts and a black t-shirt.

In both instances the suspects engaged the victims in conversation and then proceeded to expose themselves.

The two incidents are being investigated separately and police have no information at this time that they are related.

Investigators are asking any residents in the area to review their video surveillance for any footage that may assist with these investigations.

When accessing trails or walking paths within our city please:

• Walk/run along trails with a partner when possible
• Tell someone the route you are taking and the anticipated length of time you will be gone
• Avoid poorly lit paths or running/walking when it is dark
• Stick to populated paths when running/walking/cycling alone
• Carry a cellphone and/or personal alarm device
• Run/walk without headphones
• If you are confronted, be loud and shout for help

It is alleged that the male suspect has followed vehicles at various locations in Hamilton, and then proceeded to expose himself to the individual from inside his vehicle.

The unknown suspect is described as male, 20-30 years-of-age.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark sedan with an Ontario licence plate.

No victims have been physically harmed. All victims drove away without further incident.

On January 15, 2021, Hamilton Police received a report of an indecent act near York Rd and McKay Rd in Dundas around 9:20 p.m., when a female driver witnessed a male in a trench coat expose himself. A second incident was reported on January 16, 2021, in the area of King St W and Millers Lane, after a male was seen masturbating in a laneway behind a downtown business.

A 32-year-old Dundas man has been arrested and charged in relation to the January 16, 2021, incident. The male will appear in court for a bail hearing on January 19, 2021.

Police are seeking public assistance in identifying the suspect involved in the January 15, 2021, incident in the area of York Rd and McKay Rd.

Hamilton Police are continuing to investigate if the two incidents are related.

On January 23, 2020, shortly after 9:00 p.m. a person was walking down Lower Horning Drive and noticed a car parked on the side of the street. The victim walked past the car not thinking anything of it. The same vehicle was witnessed again in the area of Purvis Drive and attempted to initiate a conversation through an open driver’s side window with the same person. It was at this time the male participated in an indecent act. The victim left without further incident.

• Average athletic build, messy light brown to dirty blond hair
• Distinctive bigger nose

Beginning in late May, several indecent acts were reported to the police. Through investigation, police have determined the incidents share similarities which include a male masturbating while either hiding in bushes or behind vehicles. The male has not made any attempts to draw attention to himself or to physically make contact with the witnesses.

The male in these incidents has been described as white, between 35 and 50-years-of age, with a stocky build and short hair.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have recently witnessed a similar act in the area and has yet to report it to the police to come forward and provide the details.

On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, Hamilton Police received information regarding a male wandering in the area of Highland Road West and Picardy Drive and the Binbrook area. The information focused on offences that included criminal harassment and indecent act.

It was alleged by the victims, all high school-aged females, that the suspect would engage them in unwanted conversations which included propositioning for physical encounters. At times it was reported he was persistent and continued to follow the females.

As a result of the police investigation, on Thursday, June 6, 2019, Wyatt Gutoski of Binbrook, was arrested and earlier today he appeared in bail court to answer to several criminal charges
