                        <title>Hamilton Police Seek Suspect Information In Sexual Offence</title>

                        <guid>https://hamiltonpolice.on.ca/news/hamilton-police-seek-suspect-information-in-sexual-offence/</guid><pp:caseid>634130</pp:caseid><description><![CDATA[<p style="margin-left:0in;"><span>Hamilton Police are investigating an incident that took place with a youth on their way to school the area of Heather Road and Sunrise Drive, in the City of Hamilton today.</span></p><p style="margin-left:0in;"><span>On Monday May 27, 2024, around 8:30 a.m. the victim was walking in the area of Heather Road and Sunrise Drive when an unknown male unexpectedly approached the youth in their vehicle and motioned for them to come over.&nbsp;</span><br><br><span>A sexual invitation was given to the youth, the unknown male then grabbed the youths hand and licked it. The youth then pulled away and fled.</span></p><p style="margin-left:0in;"><span>The suspect was described as follows:</span></p><p style="margin-left:30pt;"><span>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Male, brown/ East Indian</span></p><p style="margin-left:30pt;"><span>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Slick-backed black hair</span></p><p style="margin-left:30pt;"><span>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; No facial hair</span></p><p><span>The suspect vehicle was described as follows:</span></p><p><span>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Black two-door</span></p><p><span>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; “Fancy” car</span></p><p><span>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Possibly with red on both rear-view mirrors</span></p><p style="margin-left:0in;"><span>Police are also requesting that residents living in the area please check their video surveillance between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. for any suspicious behavior or if you see footage that matched the vehicle and suspect descriptions provided.&nbsp;I</span><span style="background-color:rgb(249,249,249);">f you were driving in the area and have dash camera footage, please contact us.</span></p><p style="margin-left:0in;"><span>If you have information that you believe could assist police with this investigation, please contact Detective Sergeant Michelle Wiley at </span><span style="background-color:rgb(249,249,249);">905-540-6375</span> of the Crimes Against Children’s Unit.</p><p style="margin-left:0in;"><span>To provide information anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submit your anonymous tips online at http://www.crimestoppershamilton.com.</span></p>]]></description><category><![CDATA[Case Number: 24-635888,Suspect,Information,Sexual Offence,Media]]></category>

                        <title>Hamilton Police Seek Assistance in Identifying Suspect(s) Involved in Indecent Act</title>

Hamilton Police encourage anyone with information regarding these incidents to call police.</span></p><p><span>On Monday, July 11, 2022 around 8:30 a.m., an unknown man exposed himself to a victim who had been using the trails close to Sulphur Springs Road and Mineral Springs Road. The victim fled the area and the suspect went in the opposite direction. The suspect is described as a&nbsp;black male, late 30’s to early 40’s, thin build, short black hair, approximately six feet tall wearing a blue t-shirt.</span></p><p><span>Later that evening at approximately 9:30 p.m., an unknown man exposed himself to a victim who was using the Mountain Brow Path by East 36<sup>th</sup> Street. The suspect is described as a brown male, short beard, short black hair, approximately 5’10, medium build wearing black shorts and a black t-shirt.</span><br><br><span>In both instances the suspects engaged the victims in conversation and then proceeded to expose themselves.</span></p><p><span>The two incidents are being investigated separately and police have no information at this time that they are related.</span></p><p><span>Investigators are asking any residents in the area to review their video surveillance for any footage that may assist with these investigations.</span></p><p><span>When accessing trails or walking paths within our city please:</span></p><ul><li><span>Walk/run along trails with a partner when possible</span></li><li><span>Tell someone the route you are taking and the anticipated length of time you will be gone</span></li><li><span>Avoid poorly lit paths or running/walking when it is dark</span></li><li><span>Stick to populated paths when running/walking/cycling alone</span></li><li><span>Carry a cellphone and/or personal alarm device</span></li><li><span>Run/walk without headphones</span></li><li><span>If you are confronted, be loud and shout for help</span></li></ul><p><span>If you have any information that you believe could assist police with the investigation into these crimes you are asked to contact Detective Sergeant Michael Hall at 905-546-3851.</span></p><p><span>To provide information anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submit your anonymous tips online at </span><a href="http://www.crimestoppershamilton.com"><span>http://www.crimestoppershamilton.com</span></a></p>]]></description><category><![CDATA[Case Number: 22-677733,Indecent Act,Information,Media]]></category>
