                        <title>Single Motor Vehicle Collision</title>

                        <guid>https://hamiltonpolice.on.ca/news/single-motor-vehicle-collision-on-upper-james-st/</guid><pp:caseid>580714</pp:caseid><description><![CDATA[<p><span>On Monday July 10, 2023, shortly after 530 p.m., a Ford F150 lost control on Upper James Street near Glanair Drive in the City of Hamilton.&nbsp; The vehicle left the roadway and came to rest in a densely treed area.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span>The vehicle was occupied by a lone male driver.&nbsp; The driver, a 41-year-old Hamilton man, was critically injured and transported to hospital where he remains in critical condition.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span>The Collision Reconstruction Unit was called in to examine the scene. The affected stretch of Upper James Street was closed for several hours for the investigation.                         <title>Hamilton Police Make Arrests in Commercial Robberies</title>

                        <guid>https://hamiltonpolice.on.ca/news/hamilton-police-make-arrests-in-commercial-robberies/</guid><pp:caseid>563271</pp:caseid><description><![CDATA[<p><span>Hamilton Police have arrested two suspects involved in two separate robberies that occurred last month in Hamilton.</span></p><p><span>On Saturday, February 11, shortly after 9:00 p.m. staff members were preparing for the establishment to close in the area of South Service Road and Fifty Road when a male and female suspect entered the business and demanded money. The male suspect brandished a machete and the suspects fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.</span></p><p><span>There were no physical injuries sustained during this robbery.</span></p><p><span>On Saturday, February 18th, 2023, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the same two suspects entered a commercial business in the area of Hess Street and King Street West and demanded cigarettes along with money. During the robbery, two staff members were assaulted with a machete and conducted electrical weapon (CEW).
