                        <title>Second Arrest Made for Conspiracy to Commit Murder</title>

                        <guid>https://hamiltonpolice.on.ca/news/second-arrest-made-for-conspiracy-to-commit-murder/</guid><pp:caseid>650982</pp:caseid><description><![CDATA[<p><span>On Friday, November 10, 2023 at 8:51p.m., Hamilton Police responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot at 640 Queenston Road, Hamilton.&nbsp; A 22-year-old Hamilton man was located in the parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.&nbsp; The victim was transported to hospital and now has life-altering injuries.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span>During this ongoing attempted murder investigation, police located evidence of a conspiracy to murder a person unrelated to the initial shooting.&nbsp;&nbsp; On April 4, 2024, members of the Hamilton Police Service Homicide Unit arrested Kamaldeep Dhaliwal of Hamilton and charged him with Conspiracy to Commit Murder.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span>From further investigation into this matter, a second person involved in this conspiracy to commit murder was identified as 27-year-old Michael Francis of Niagara Falls.&nbsp; Michael Francis appeared in court on Friday, June 28, 2024 charged with Conspiracy to Commit Murder.</span></p><p><span>This investigation is ongoing with efforts to identify the other co-conspirators in this plot to commit murder.&nbsp; The number of co-conspirators and the nature of the evidence leading to this arrest will not be disclosed at this time as the investigation is ongoing.</span></p><p><span>If you have any information that you believe could assist police with the investigation into this crime, you are asked to contact Detective Rob Di Ianni at 905-546-3836.</span></p><p><span>To provide information anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submit your anonymous tips online at </span><a href="http://www.crimestoppershamilton.com"><span>http://www.crimestoppershamilton.com</span></a></p>]]></description><category><![CDATA[Case Number: 23-820576,Conspiracy,Arrest,Investigation,HamOnt,Media]]></category>

He drives him a few hundred metres down the road and drops him off at the corner of Connaught Avenue South and Main Street East.&nbsp;</span><br><br><span>T</span>he man wearing the green Nike tracksuit has been identified.                         <title>Hamilton’s 2nd Homicide of 2024</title>

                        <title>Hamilton Police Seek Witnesses in Tragic Motor Vehicle Collision This Morning</title>

Despite immediate lifesaving measures, the individual was transported to the hospital and later pronounced deceased. In addition, investigators identified a second vehicle, brown in colour, and two males in their 20s who were transported to the hospital, both remain in non-life threatening condition.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;text-align:start;">The circumstances surrounding this tragic collision are currently under investigation, with dedicated officers remaining at the scene to gather critical information.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;text-align:start;"><strong>Witness Appeal:</strong>&nbsp;<br>Hamilton Police are appealing to the community for assistance.                         <guid>https://hamiltonpolice.on.ca/news/collision-investigation-concluded/</guid><pp:caseid>536541</pp:caseid><description><![CDATA[<p><span>Hamilton Police have completed their investigation into a serious collision that occurred on the Hamilton Mountain.</span></p><p><span>On Saturday, July 23, 2022, shortly after 1:30a.m., a male riding an electric scooter was struck by a Honda Civic travelling northbound on Upper Kenilworth Avenue near Landron Avenue.</span></p><p><span>The 20-year-old driver of the Honda stopped his vehicle and called emergency services.&nbsp; The rider of the scooter, a 15-year-old Hamilton youth, sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital.</span></p><p><span>The 15-year-old youth has since been released from the hospital and continues to recover at home.</span></p><p><span>The investigation into the collision has been concluded and no charges are being laid.</span></p><p><span>The Hamilton Police Service would like to remind all road users to make safety their number one priority.</span></p>]]></description><category><![CDATA[Case Number: 22-688649,Collision,Serious Injuries,Injury,Investigation,HamOnt,Media]]></category>

                        <title>25-Year-Old Hamilton Man Arrested for Shooting at Mountain Townhouse Complex</title>

Upon arrival, officers located a, 27-year-old man, with significant gunshot injuries.</span></p><p><span>The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries.</span></p><p><span>Police believed the shooting to be a targeted incident.</span></p><p><span>Through investigation, police identified the shooter as, 25-year-old, Abakar Bechir of Hamilton. One suspect remains outstanding.</span></p><p><span>On Monday, August 15, 2022, shortly after 9:40 a.m. Hamilton Police received reports of a male appearing in distress with visible injuries running in the area of Oriole Crescent. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.</span></p><p><span>On Sunday, August 14, 2022, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the victim was contacted by an old acquaintance and the two made arrangements to meet up. The victim was picked up from his residence, drove to a few locations, eventually returning to a residence in Hamilton’s east end.</span></p><p><span>The victim advised he remembers walking through the front door of the residence. Upon entering the residence, he was struck in the back of the head with a foreign object. The content of the video shows a male making transphobic and homophobic slurs towards two unknown people.                         <guid>https://hamiltonpolice.on.ca/news/update-hamilton-police-investigate-shooting-incident/</guid><pp:caseid>503096</pp:caseid><description><![CDATA[<img src="https://content.presspage.com/uploads/2189/1920_newsrelease-april20-2022.jpg?10000"><p><span>Hamilton Police are urging anyone with information to contact investigators.</span></p><p><span>On&nbsp;Monday, April 18, 2022, shortly after 3:30&nbsp;a.m., Hamilton Police responded to&nbsp;possible shots fired in the area of 44 Martha Street, Hamilton.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span>Police can confirm a shooting incident occurred.&nbsp; Multiple suspects were involved in this shooting.&nbsp; Minor injuries were reported.</span></p><p><span>Division Two Criminal Investigations Branch is in charge of the investigation.&nbsp; Detectives asking area residents to check their security cameras between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. for any suspicious activity and to contact police.                         <title>Detectives Investigate Shooting in East End</title>

                        <guid>https://hamiltonpolice.on.ca/news/detectives-investigate-shooting-in-east-end/</guid><pp:caseid>472809</pp:caseid><description><![CDATA[<p><span><span><span><span><span>Hamilton Police are investigating after multiple shots were fired at two individuals in an east-end neighborhood.</span></span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span>On Friday, September 3, 2021, shortly after 08:30 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to reports of a shooting that just occurred in the Oriole Crescent neighborhood in Hamilton&rsquo;s east-end.</span></span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span>A male and female were standing in the rear yard of a residence, when they observed a male exit a dark gold coloured SUV and walk towards their direction.</span></span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span>The suspect approached the victims, before discharging multiple shots.
