On Sunday, July 24, 2023, at approximately 8:15p.m. a minivan collided with a stand-up electric scooter on Rymal Road West near Garth Street.

The individual operating the scooter was transported to hospital.

The driver of the minivan has been charged with Fail to Yield from Private Drive.

Police have also charged the rider of the kick scooter with various charges regarding the status of the scooter under the Ministry of Transportation guidelines.
