On Monday, March 2, 2020, Giorgio Barresi was shot and killed in the driveway of his residence while his wife and children were inside their home.

The suspects arrived in a light coloured sedan and parked at the end of his street, waited for Giorgio to return home before a lone gunman approached and murdered him. The suspects fled in the sedan to a nearby highway quickly fleeing the area before police arrived.

The murder of Giorgio was planned. It is believed that the suspects were aware of his habits and routines which afforded the opportunity to confront Giorgio at his residence that night.

Investigators believe that the actions of these suspects indicate that there are people within our community who know what happened to Giorgio that night and the events that led up to his murder.

Investigators are hopeful that the $50,000 reward will stimulate further leads and motivate individuals with knowledge about this murder to come forward.

Giorgio Barresi was a father of three children who he loved dearly and is now no longer here to witness their beautiful milestones.

With Father’s Day approaching this weekend, Hamilton Police are encouraging those with information to come forward and help us solve this murder, especially for his children.

Hamilton Police are offering a $50,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of the persons responsible for the murder of Angelo Musitano.

On May 2, 2017, Angelo Musitano was shot and killed as he arrived home in his pickup truck. His murder was linked to the murder of Mila Barberi and the attempted murder of Saverio Serrano in Woodbridge on March 14, 2017. The linkage resulted in a multijurisdictional investigation between Hamilton Police Service, York Regional Police Service and the Hamilton-Niagara detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The investigation, dubbed Project SCOPA, identified three of the persons directly involved in both murders. On September 19, 2018, Jabril Abdalla was arrested at his Hamilton home while Canada-wide arrest warrants were issued for the arrests of Michael Graham Cudmore of Hamilton and Daniel Mario Tomassetti of Ancaster.

Michael Cudmore flew to Cancun, Mexico in May 2017 and Daniel Tomassetti followed him there in January 2018. There is no indication that either Cudmore or Tomassetti have returned to Canada.

The investigation continues to gather further evidence against the individuals who ordered Musitano’s execution. It is believed his death is part of an ongoing feud between Organized Crime groups within the GTHA. Investigators requested the $50,000 reward as a means to stimulate further leads, and to assist in locating and apprehending Michael Cudmore and Daniel Tomassetti.

Hamilton Police wish to remind the public that anyone who assists either Michael Cudmore or Daniel Tomassetti to evade their arrest will face charges of Accessory After the Fact to Murder which carries a maximum penalty of life in prison.
