                        <title>Gun Drugs and Cash Seized in Stoney Creek Investigation</title>

Police seized drugs, cash and a loaded handgun. He appeared in court last Saturday.</span></span></span></p>

<p><span><span><span>After gathering information about drug activity being conducted by a Stoney Creek man, members of the Hamilton Police Gangs and Weapons Enforcement Unit commenced an investigation focusing on his vehicle and a residence in the area of Upper Mt. Albion Road and Times Square Boulevard.</span></span></span></p>

<p><span><span><span>On Friday, September 4, 2020, an application for a Controlled Drugs and Substance search warrant was submitted to the courts. The warrant was granted the same day for the subject&rsquo;s vehicle and residence.</span></span></span></p>

<p><span><span><span>Shortly before 5:00 p.m., the male was arrested without incident outside an Oakville restaurant and taken into police custody. A search of his vehicle resulted in the discovery of a loaded handgun, illicit drugs and an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency.</span></span></span></p>

<p><span><span><span>With the authority of the search warrant, officers then converged on his Stoney Creek residence where additional drugs, cash and drug paraphernalia were seized.</span></span></span></p>

<p><span><span><span>Tevon Williams-McKenzie was held for a bail hearing. His matter was addressed at the John Sopinka Courthouse on Saturday, September 5, 2020, where he faced firearm, proceeds of crime and drug-related charges.</span></span></span></p>

                        <title>Grimsby Man Charged in Drug and Firearm Investigation</title>

He appeared in court earlier today to face firearm and drug-related charges.</span></span></span></p>

<p><span><span><span>The Hamilton Police Gang and Weapons Enforcement Unit has continued to investigate drug activity in the community. With the information gathered involving the criminal actions of a Grimsby man in the Hamilton area, an application was submitted to the court system, requesting a search warrant for properties related to the individual.</span></span></span></p>

<p><span><span><span>On Thursday, August 27, 2020, police were granted a search warrant for a residential Grimsby address located in the area of North Service Road and Winston Road and a vehicle belonging to the male.</span></span></span></p>

<p><span><span><span>With the assistance from members of the Emergency Response Unit, a 21-year-old Grimsby man was arrested outside his residence in his vehicle. He was searched and found to be in possession of cocaine, Percocet pills and an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency. Police also located inside his vehicle a loaded Glock handgun.&nbsp;The vehicle, a 2103 Mercedes Benz, two-door sedan was also seized.</span></span></span></p>

<p><span><span><span>Officers then entered his residence where they located illicit drugs, drug paraphernalia and a prohibited weapon.</span></span></span></p>

<p><span><span><span>Everton Frost was taken into police custody and his matter addressed at the John Sopinka Courthouse on Friday, August 28, 2020. He continues to face charges related to the possession of firearms and drugs and the violation of court orders.</span></span></span></p>

                        <title>Ancaster Couple Charged in Drug Unit Investigation</title>

This resulted in the execution of search warrants at an Ancaster home, a storage locker in Hamilton and one in Burlington and the seizure of illicit drugs, firearms and cash.</p>

<p>In late March, officers from the Hamilton Police Vice and Drugs Unit concluded a drug investigation into this Ancaster man. That resulted in his arrest, a large seizure of drugs and cash and a charge under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act for &lsquo;Failure&nbsp;to comply with an order given during a declared emergency.&rsquo;</p>

<p>The Hamilton Police Vice and Drugs Unit continued their investigation into this Ancaster man, accumulating more information regarding his ongoing drug trafficking.</p>

<p>On Thursday, April 30, 2020, warrants were granted for a residence in the area of Golf Links Road and Meadowlands Boulevard, storage units in the area of Stone Church Road East and Dartnall Road and Appleby Line and Mainway, Burlington. Warrants were also issued for motor vehicles affiliated to the Ancaster man.</p>

<p>With assistance from the Investigative Services Division and the Division 30 Heat Unit, police seized illicit drugs, firearms, ammunition and a large amount of cash.</p>

<p>Nickolas and Marija Deschenes were arrested and taken into police custody without incident.</p>

<p>Nickolas Deschenes made a bail court appearance on Saturday, May 2, 2020, to answer to several charges.</p>

<p>Marija Deschenes is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, to answer to several charges.</p>

                        <title>Caught Cooking Drugs in the Kitchen </title>

<p>In March 2020, police investigated concerns of drug activity in the area of a Barton Street East apartment. On April 23, 2020, shortly after 3:00 p.m., a search warrant assisted in finding drugs and cash inside.</p>

<p>A quantity of powdered cocaine was located in measuring cups waiting to be &ldquo;cooked&rdquo; and processed into crack cocaine. Digital scales and other drug paraphernalia along with a large sum of money were also found.</p>

<p><span>As a result of the investigation, four people were arrested and charged with related Drug and Criminal Code offences.</span></p>

                        <title>Drug Investigation Concludes with $1,000,000 Seizure</title>

During the investigation, a substantial amount of drugs were seized along with other evidence to support a large scale drug trafficking operation.</p>

<p>In early April 2020, members of the Hamilton Police Service Vice and Drugs Unit commenced an investigation into drug activity at a residence in the area of Kenilworth Avenue North and Cannon Street East, Hamilton. During the coming weeks, police obtained information which confirmed the trafficking of illicit drugs. An application was submitted to the court system requesting search warrants for properties related to the investigation.</p>

<p>On the morning of Friday, April 17, 2020, police executed search warrants and seized drugs, cash, replica firearms and drug paraphernalia.</p>

<p>Four adults were arrested and they appeared before the courts later that day. One female youth was also arrested and she is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, to answer to her charges. Police concluded the investigation on Friday night with the arrest of one outstanding party.</p>

<p>Resources from the Vice and Drugs, Emergency Response, Heat, Youth Office, Gangs Weapons and Enforcement, Criminal Investigations Branch, uniform patrol and Intelligence Unit collaborated to successfully conclude the investigation which has resulted in the seizure of illicit drugs with a value exceeding $1,000,000.</p>

<p>This investigation represents one of the largest seizures of Crystal Meth, Heroin and Fentanyl in Hamilton. The total weight of drugs seized exceeds 5 kilograms with most being packaged for immediate sale.</p>

<p>On February 9, 2020, shortly after 10:30 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a report of a robbery at a business in the area of Ottawa Street South and King Street East in Hamilton. A lone male entered the business demanding money before fleeing from the area on foot. There were no reported injuries</p>

<p>On February 12, 2020, shortly after 9:30 p.m., another robbery occurred at a business in the area of Kenilworth Avenue North and Dunsmure Road in Hamilton. Once again a lone male entered the business and demanded money before fleeing on foot. No reported injuries.</p>

<p>Thorough investigative measures the Hamilton Police B.E.A.R. unit was able to identify the male as the same person for both robbery occurrences.</p>

<p>On February 19, 2020, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the area of Balmoral Avenue South and King Street East in Hamilton. Inside Police located the male involved in the robberies, evidence in relation to the robberies, a quantity of drugs and proceeds of crime.</p>

A search warrant was executed by the Vice and Drugs Unit that resulted in the arrest of several residents from Stoney Creek and the seizure of illegal drugs, proceeds of crime and ammunition. One party appeared in court today and the remaining parties are scheduled to appear in court in June.</p>

<p>Hamilton Police received information regarding illegal drug activity surrounding a residence in the Stoney Creek area. An investigation was initiated and with the information gathered, police applied for a search warrant. The warrant was granted and on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. members of the Hamilton Police Vice & Drug Unit entered a residence in the area of Gray Road and Roxborough Avenue. During the search, a large quantity of Cocaine and Canadian currency, Heroin, Methamphetamine, ammunition and a pick-up truck were seized.</p>

<p>A Stoney Creek man and three females were arrested during the warrant execution. The male was held for a bail hearing and appeared in court earlier today. The females were taken into police custody and later released, scheduled to appear in court in early June.</p>

Police recently executed search warrants at a downtown property that resulted in the seizure of illicit drugs, prohibited weapons and money.</p>

<p>On Thursday, March 7, 2019, shortly before 4:00 p.m., members of the Hamilton Police Service Vice and Drugs Unit along with the Emergency Response Unit executed two search warrants at a property in the area of Barton Street East and Gage Avenue North in relation to illicit drugs sales. Police seized a large quantity of cocaine, along with fentanyl, heroin and methamphetamine valued at $46250. Police also identified over $3200 of Canadian currency believed to be the proceeds of crime, as well as scales and prohibited weapons.</p>

The suspect has been identified and arrested. Two&nbsp;search warrants were executed and a firearm was located. The suspect&nbsp;appeared in court on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.</p>

<p>On Sunday, March 3, 2019, shortly before 4:30 p.m., a male suspect attended the Busy Bee Convenience located at 1528 Barton Street East. The suspect selected merchandise and approached the clerk&nbsp;at the counter. The suspect then reached into his pocket and produced a firearm. A demand was made for money from the clerk. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency before fleeing the scene.</p>

<p>Through investigation, police were able to identify the suspect. On Tuesday, March 5, 2019, shortly after 11:30 a.m., the suspect was arrested by the Hamilton Police Service in the area of Melvin Avenue and Parkdale Avenue, Hamilton.</p>

<p>Hamilton Police have executed two search warrants at locations&nbsp;related to the suspect. Police have recovered the firearm believed to have been used in the robbery; a pellet gun modified to fire 9 mm ammunition.</p>

<p>David Hachey has appeared at the John Sopinka Courthouse today to answer to robbery and several firearm-related charges.</p>

<p>On Thursday, January 3, 2019, just shortly before 9:00 p.m., members of the Hamilton Police Service Division 3 HEAT Unit executed a CDSA search warrant on Upper Wentworth Street on the Hamilton Mountain.</p>

<p>Members of the Division 3 HEAT Unit received information about suspected illegal drug trafficking from a residence near two schools that was also the location of a 2018 home invasion and shooting. As a result of this information, an investigation was initiated. On Thursday, January 3, 2019, the Division 3 HEAT Unit obtained a CDSA search warrant to enter and search the&nbsp;Upper Wentworth Street residence.</p>

<p>Hamilton Police have arrested and charged Zachary Ellis 19-years-old, and seized a quantity of cocaine, MDMA, oxycodone, money, and weapons.</p>

<p>Hamilton Police was conducting an investigation regarding alleged drug trafficking in the area of Limeridge Road East, Hamilton.</p>

<p>Police executed search warrants at the residence and located cocaine, suspected fentanyl, oxycodone, hydromorphone, psilocybin, and a quantity of money.</p>

<p>Police also located packaging, scales, and other items indicative of drug trafficking.</p>

<p>The individuals were arrested and currently being held for a bail hearing.</p>
