On Saturday, July 23, 2022, shortly after 1:30a.m., a male riding an electric scooter was struck by a Honda Civic travelling northbound on Upper Kenilworth Avenue near Landron Avenue.

The 20-year-old driver of the Honda stopped his vehicle and called emergency services.  The rider of the scooter, a 15-year-old Hamilton youth, sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital.

The 15-year-old youth has since been released from the hospital and continues to recover at home.

The investigation into the collision has been concluded and no charges are being laid.

The Hamilton Police Service would like to remind all road users to make safety their number one priority.
