Hamilton Police Investigate After 38-Year-Old Male Found Deceased

Hamilton Police continue to investigate the sudden death of a Hamilton man who was located deceased.

On Friday, June 25, 2021 shortly after 10:30 a.m. Hamilton Police responded to the area of Victoria Avenue South and Young Street in Hamilton. A 38-year-old male was located in a wooded area and pronounced deceased on scene.

The male was not from the area in which he was located and Hamilton Police are still trying to determine the factors which brought him to that location.

Family notifications are complete, however Hamilton Police are not releasing the name of the male at this time.

Cause of death is currently not known and no further details can be released.

The scene has been released.

A further update will be provided when information becomes available.

Hamilton Police are looking to speak to anyone who was in the area of Carter Park between 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021 and 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021 who may have seen or heard any type of disturbance.

Sudden Death of Two Individuals Deemed Not Suspicious

On Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at approximately 4:30 p.m. Hamilton Police were dispatched to 15 Ray St North in Hamilton for a compassionate check as a tenant in the residence had not been seen for a few weeks. Using a key provided by the property manager, Hamilton Police were able to gain access to the unit. Inside, police found the bodies of a 30-year-old female and her three-year-old son.

The scene was secured and the next of kin was notified. An autopsy was conducted earlier today in Toronto and revealed no foul play in connection with the deaths.

The cause of deaths will not be provided pending the toxicology results.

UPDATE: Death of Six-Year-Old Boy Deemed Non-Criminal

Hamilton Police have deemed the death of a six-year-old boy who had reportedly fallen from a sixth floor balcony as non-criminal.

On July 11, 2018, shortly after 5:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to 50 Young Street, Hamilton after receiving reports that a 6-year-old had fallen from a sixth floor balcony. Upon arrival of Police, Fire and Paramedics, the child was located and pronounced at the scene. An autopsy was conducted. The results of the autopsy and the Police investigation have found the death to be non-criminal. Any further inquiries should be directed to the Office of the Chief Corner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service
