Thieves Caught in the Act of B&E

Hamilton Police arrested two males in relation to a break and enter incident. The males were found to be in possession of other stolen property not related to the incident. They appeared in court yesterday.

On Wednesday, May 9, 2019, shortly before 6:30 a.m., Hamilton Police received information pertaining to a break and enter in progress to a business located in the area of Chatham Street and Frid Street. A staff member was reporting to work when he observed an unknown male inside the business. The male quickly fled the building and dropped the items in his possession. A second unknown male was then spotted on the property by another employee. The two unknown males joined up and appeared to be leaving the property when the employees located a knapsack containing items that were suspicious in nature. As the males returned to collect the items police arrived and they were arrested without incident. They were searched and found to be in possession of illicit drugs, a prohibited weapon, various currencies including counterfeit notes and other stolen property.

Two Hamilton men, 36 and 39-years-of-age were taken into police custody and attended court yesterday.
