Traffic Fatality

Hamilton police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by an SUV.

On Saturday, October 30, 2021, shortly after 8:30 p.m., Hamilton police responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by an SUV at the intersection of Barton Street East and Varga Drive in Stoney Creek.

On arrival police located a 86 year-old female with vital signs absent. The female was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the motor vehicle remained on scene.

Due to the nature of the collision, the Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken carriage of the investigation.
