UPDATE - Single Motor Vehicle Collision Driver Identified

Hamilton Police have identified the driver from the single motor vehicle collision which occurred on Friday, August 4, 2018.

The driver of the vehicle has been identified as a 17-year-old male from Hamilton.

A warrant for his arrest has been issued with the following charges:

  • Dangerous Drive Causing Bodily Harm
  • Fail to Remain
  • Theft Over $5000
  • Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000

The passenger in the collision, a 17-year-old Hamilton male is currently recovering from his injuries.

The vehicle involved in the incident was a 2007 Infiniti G35, reportedly stolen from Guelph, Ontario hours before the collision.

Hamilton Police continue to investigate this incident which is believed to involve two vehicles racing. The identification of the second vehicle and driver have not been confirmed.
