On Wednesday, September 5, 2018, a lone male suspect robbed the CIBC Bank located at 393 Barton St, Hamilton, while in possession of a firearm. He was able to obtain a quantity of Canadian currency before successfully fleeing the bank.

The investigation was taken over by the Break Enter and Robbery Unit. A media release was posted requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. As a result of the release, several members of the public came forward and were able to successfully identify the suspect.

On Thursday, September 13, 2018, Michael Ivo White, 40-years-of –age, from Hamilton was arrested for Robbery with Firearm and Breach of Probation.
