Hamilton Police have confirmed that 38-year-old wanted person Crystal Lavergne is in the Kitchener area.

On July 14, 2020, shortly before 1:30 p.m., Hamilton Police received a report of a female who escaped from custody at the St. Joseph's Psychiatric Hospital. She was last seen at the intersection of West 5th Street and Fennell Avenue in Hamilton.

Through continued investigation, Hamilton Police have determined that approximately one hour after being in the city, Crystal was dropped off by a cab in the area of Ottawa Street South and Alpine Road in Kitchener.

Waterloo Regional and Hamilton Police continue to work together on this investigation in hopes of locating Crystal.

Crystal can become aggressive towards others if confronted. If you see her, please call 911 immediately and do not approach or attempt to communicate with her.
