REVISED: Second Male Arrested in Short-Term Rental Shooting.
Revision: Information has been added regarding the arrest of Christopher Mitchell.
Hamilton Police have arrested a second male in relation to the shooting investigation that took place on August 9, 2020, inside a residence, on Aberdeen Avenue. The male appeared in court earlier today.
On August 9, 2020, shortly after 6:30 p.m., three males attended a short-term rental on Aberdeen Avenue. While inside the residence, one male discharged a firearm.
The males then fled the scene in a grey Toyota SUV.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau continued to investigate the shooting and have identified a 19-year-old Toronto man. Early this morning the male was located and arrested without incident. His matter has been brought before the courts.
The investigation is ongoing as police continue to work towards identifying the outstanding male.
No injuries were reported to police.

On August 13, 2020, an arrest warrant was issued Christopher Mitchell, 18-years-of age from Bampton. He was arrested in the Toronto area on September 4, 2020, for an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed at that time.
