UPDATE: Shooting On Mohawk Road

Hamilton Police Division 30 Detectives, continue to investigate the shooting which took place on Friday, October 2, 2020 on Mohawk Road East.

Detectives are looking to speak to the driver of a black Ford Escape, believed to be present at the time of the shooting. Police are urging this driver to come forward as they may have information that can assist with the investigation.

Police continue to review video surveillance from the public and encourage business owners and area residents to check their security cameras for any suspicious activity and to contact detectives.

On Saturday, October 3, 2020 shortly after 10:00 p.m., Hamilton Police located an abandoned white Kia 4-door vehicle in a parking lot in the area of Ferrie Street East and John Street North. The vehicle had extensive damage as a result of points of impact and a fire.

Detectives have confirmed the vehicle was involved in the incident. The vehicle was reported stolen to police prior to the shooting.

At this time police continue to search for suspects.
