UPDATE: Two Males Arrested After Shots Fired at Residence

Hamilton Police arrested two males after shots were fired at a residence on Minto Avenue.

On November 10, 2022, just before 10:00 p.m., Hamilton Police were in the area of Barton St E and Westinghouse when they heard shots fired near Minto Avenue. Upon arrival, police confirmed there were bullet holes in the residence. There were no reported injuries from the home's residents. 

Police were able to quickly obtain video and identify two suspects. The individuals matching the description were located walking through Woodlands Park and subsequently arrested.  A firearm was recovered at the scene. The individuals face the following charges:

Tomoi Kushon Blake-Samuels, 26-years-old from North York

  • Prohibited Firearm x1
  • Discharge with Intent x1
  • Possession contrary to order x1
  • Breach of Recognizance x1

Malachi Samuels, 19-years-old from North York

  • Prohibited Firearm x1

Investigators continue to appeal to area residents to check their surveillance cameras for any suspicious activity around the time of the shooting.
