We Need Your Help to Solve a Cold Case Break and Enter

The Hamilton Police BEAR Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect and vehicle involved in a cold case break and enter. Anyone with information is urged to contact police.

On Saturday, January 11, 2019, shortly after 4:30 a.m., Hamilton Police received a report of a break and enter in progress at H&Z Diamond Centre, located at 1142 Wilson Street West, Ancaster. Officers immediately responded to the scene: however, the parties involved had already fled the scene.

Through continued investigation, detectives from the Bear Unit have learned a black and white pick-up truck was used to damage the structure allowing the suspects to enter the store and remove over $43,000 in various jewellery items.

Hamilton Police have collected surveillance footage which captured the vehicle involved along with one of the suspects.

Over the past year, the investigation has taken several directions. Detectives have exhausted efforts in attempting to identify the parties responsible and are now seeking assistance from the public.

  • 25 - 35 years-of-age
  • Thin build
  • Black jacket
  • Black Air Jordan track pants
  • Red hoodie with the hood up
  • Black gloves
  • Black baseball cap on backwards
  • Black high top basketball shoes with red laces

SUSPECT VEHICLE

  • Black Chevy Silverado pick-up Truck with extended cab
  • White hood and roof
  • Black Sabbath logo on the back and orange trailer lights on the roof
