The Hamilton Police Choir is a unique blend of musical talent within the law enforcement community of Hamilton, united by the amalgamation of the Male Chorus and the Female Choir.

The Hamilton Police Male Chorus was established first, in September 1959, by a group of police officers from the Hamilton Police Department, marking the first organization of its kind in Canada. This chorus has the distinction of being the oldest police choral group in North America.

The Hamilton Police Female Choir, on the other hand, made its debut in 2001, becoming the first and only all-female police choir in Canada. This choir, under the banner of "Unity Through Harmony," grew to include sworn and civilian female personnel from throughout the service.

In 2022, the Male Chorus and Female Choir merged to become the Hamilton Police Choir. The group continues to share their talents at police and community events in Hamilton and beyond.  Their formation and continued performance highlight the diverse talents within the Hamilton Police Service and their commitment to fostering community engagement and harmony through music.
