Unsolved Homicides

On Friday September 9, 2005, shortly after 3:00 a.m., Hamilton Police responded to a shooting in a parking lot at the corner of Roxborough Avenue and Ottawa Street north in the City of Hamilton. The victim of the shooting, Michael Parmer, 22 years old of Niagara Falls, New York, succumbed to his injuries and died approximately 12 hours later.
 
The investigation by the Hamilton Police Service Homicide Unit, has led to over 100 people being interviewed and numerous security videos being examined. This has resulted in investigators becoming aware that there are people in our community who have knowledge as to who is responsible for this senseless, cowardly crime.

Detectives now believe that two males were directly involved and that a female may have also played a role in the homicide:

Description of suspects:

Suspect #1 - Male, black, early 20s, 6’1” - 6’3”, 180-200 lbs, wearing dark clothing, possibly a hoodie type shirt.
 
​Suspect #2 - Male, black, early 20s, 5’7” - 5’10”, 170 lbs, may have been wearing camouflage pants.
 
Suspect #3 - Female, white, light coloured hair.

It is also believed that a dark blue or black Dodge Neon automobile may have been used to assist the suspects in their escape.
 
The Hamilton Police Services Board is now offering a reward of ten thousand ($10,000) dollars, to be paid in Canadian funds, for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for these murders.
 
Any decision relating to the payment of the reward, or any portion thereof, shall be based solely upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police.
