Co-op Placements/Internships

The Hamilton Police Service is now offering opportunities to work within our organization through secondary and post-secondary co-op placements and internships.
High School Co-op/Internship Placements
The Hamilton Police Service has a partnership with the Hamilton-Wentworth and the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Boards. Twice a year job descriptions are sent to these school boards. Interested students can apply for the various Placements. Students are then short-listed by the Boards and our Service, and invited in for panel interviews with members of the respective areas, e.g. Use of Force. Successful students must then pass a security clearance. Co-op Placements are from September to January or February to June. We will also consider students from other secondary schools in the City of Hamilton. Please contact the Co-op Department at your school for further information. All placements and expressions of interest must be made through High School Co-op Departments.
