Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
Hamilton Police Service is committed to transformative change through our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) journey.
In August 202, HPS partnered with the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI) to conduct surveys, groups meetings and workshops, identifying problems, challenges and barriers members are facing. The information gathered forms the foundation for our EDI strategy.
From Strategy to Action: Advancing Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at the Hamilton Police Service (2021-2025) has four areas of focus, 14 priorities and 40 strategic calls to action to help shape and advance our directions and priorities over the next five years.
Through this EDI Strategy, Hamilton Police Service will make positive changes to be a workplace that is more equitable, diverse and inclusive, ensuring everyone inside and outside the organization receives fair treatment and opportunities.
