Hamilton Police responded to three separate knife-related incidents within a 12-hour period.
On September 23, 2025, at approximately 2:00 p.m., police received multiple calls regarding a male waving a knife in public near the intersection of King Street and John Street. The 53-year-old male from Hamilton briefly fled but was located and arrested nearby. A search revealed a spring-loaded folding knife. He was charged and held for bail.
In the evening around 8:45 p.m., police were dispatched to a disturbance on McNab Street involving two females. The victim, a 34-year-old from Hamilton, sustained a minor facial injury caused by an edged weapon. The accused, a 37-year-old from Hamilton, was arrested without incident and found in possession of a knife. The weapon was seized, and the accused was released on an undertaking.
Lastly, on September 24 at approximately 1:00 a.m., police responded to reports of a stabbing on Wilson Street. A bystander directed officers to the accused, a 15-year-old female from Hamilton, who was arrested without incident. The victim, a 14-year-old male from Hamilton, suffered several non-life-threatening injuries to his head and neck and was transported to McMaster Hospital for treatment. The knife was seized, and the accused youth was held for bail.
