Hamilton Police continue to investigate a distraction theft that occurred in the City's East End.
On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at approximately 1:15 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a report of a distraction theft near Main Street East and Parkdale Avenue North.
The victim was standing in front of his residence when he was approached by suspects in an older model black Ford Explorer. The female passenger engaged the victim in conversation and physically pulled him by the neck toward the vehicle while placing a necklace on him. During this distraction, all three suspects conversed with the victim while one of them removed and stole the victim’s gold necklace.
Suspect Descriptions:
- Female #1: Approx 40 years old, large build, tan complexion, black hair tied back, wearing a red shirt
- Female #2: Approx 30 years old, thin build, tan complexion, brown hair, wearing a black and white shirt
- Male driver: Approx 30 years old, bald, tan complexion
