Investigation Leads to Seizure of Drugs, Cash and Loaded Firearm

Hamilton Police seized a fully automatic firearm after executing several search warrants.

On April 30, 2025, members of the Hamilton Police Service executed two search warrants at separate addresses located in Hamilton and Brant County. In connection with the investigation, a third search warrant was also executed on a vehicle.

As a result of the searches, investigators seized a loaded Glock 17 handgun that had been modified to operate as a fully automatic firearm, along with ammunition, a high-capacity magazine, approximately three kilograms of fentanyl, two kilograms of MDMA, 400 grams of cocaine, and a significant amount of Canadian currency.

One individual was arrested. Randolph Robertson, 32-years-old from Brant County, was charged with the following offences:

  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • Possession of a Prohibited Firearm – Loaded
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking cocaine
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking fentanyl
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking MDMA
  • Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000
  • Possession of Prohibited Device x 2
  • Possession Contrary to Order x4

Robertson was held for a bail hearing.
