Witnesses Sought in Rail Trail Sexual Assaults

The Hamilton Police Service is investigating two Sexual Assaults that took place on or near the rail trail between Limeridge Road East and Mohawk Road East in Hamilton.

The incidents occurred on April 27, 2025, at approximately 10:50 a.m, 2025 and on May 7, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m. The incidents involved an unknown male suspect riding a black stand-up electrical scooter when he sexually assaulted the victims.

We are appealing for witnesses and requesting anyone in the area to check their home surveillance cameras and vehicle dash cameras for any relevant footage. The suspect is described as:

  • Male
  • 17-20 years old
  • 5'8 to 6'0 in height
  • Thin to medium build
  • Mid-length lighter coloured hair
  • Wearing a black hooded sweater pulled over their head with a black scarf or bandana covering their face
  • Wearing white Nike Air Force Ones or similar
  • Wearing black jogging pants
  • Operating a black stand-up electric scooter
