Significant Drug and Firearms Seizure on Tragina Avenue

On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, Hamilton Police executed a search warrant at a residence on Tragina Avenue North. As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old Hamilton man and a 22-year-old woman from Hamilton were taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.

Members of the East End H.E.A.T. and Central H.E.A.T. units conducted a thorough search of the home, uncovering large quantities of illicit drugs and cash. Subsequent searches of two vehicles used in the trafficking operation revealed additional drug evidence. A U-Haul storage locker linked to the investigation yielded approximately $10,000 in cash and two long guns.

Seized Items Include:

Drugs:

  • Cocaine: 935g ($76,000)
  • Methamphetamine: 460g ($27,000)
  • Fentanyl: 7g ($1,400)
  • Dilaudid: 939 pills ($14,000)
  • Oxycodone: 441 pills ($2,200)

Cash:

  • Estimated $60,000–$70,000 (awaiting processing)

Firearms:

  • Black Creek 5.56 rifle
  • Vector .22 caliber rifle
  • Ammunition and empty magazines

Charges Laid:

Edwin Croft, 34 years-old of Hamilton and Destiny Vanderlip, 22-years-old of Hamilton face multiple joint charges including:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine, Meth, Fentanyl, Hydromorphone, Oxycodone)
  • Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000

Additional charges for Croft include multiple firearms offences, probation breaches, and possession contrary to order.
