Hamilton Police Investigate Fatality in Downtown

Pedestrian Suffers Fatal injury involving Motor Vehicle.

On Friday May 16, 2025, at approximately 11:20am, EMS and Police, were called to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at 100 King Street West, at the Indigo underground parking garage.

A 2013 Kia Sorento struck a female pedestrian as the driver was entering the parking garage.

The female pedestrian was transported to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.  The identity of the female is not being released at this time pending next of kin notification.

At this time, the police are actively seeking any potential witnesses to this incident and urge anyone with information to come forward.  Investigators are also requesting any motorists in the area at the time of the collision to check their dash cameras and any residences or businesses in the area with surveillance cameras to review their camera footage.
