Missing Person: Sahil Kumar

Hamilton Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Sahil Kumar, a 22-year-old male who was reported missing on May 17, 2025, by friends concerned for his well-being.

Sahil is an international student at Humber College in Toronto and recently arrived in Canada. He is not familiar with the area and was last seen during the afternoon on May 16 at 12:50 p.m. exiting Union Station in Toronto and walking towards York Street.

Records show his PRESTO card was used at Union Station at 12:44 p.m. on May 16. His cell phone has been off since 1:31 p.m. that same day.  His passport and laptop were left at his Hamilton residence.

Hamilton Police are working closely with Metrolinx, hospitals, Toronto Police Service and Humber College and are reviewing surveillance footage. There is nothing to suggest that Sahil was in any physical or mental distress prior to his disappearance. Online activity suggests he may have been interested in visiting the Toronto waterfront. Community members are also encouraged to check local Gurdwaras, where he may have sought support or shelter at these places of worship.

Anyone with information about Sahil’s whereabouts is urged to contact Hamilton Police Missing Person Unit at 905-540-8549. For those who wish to provide information anonymously, please consider reaching out to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submit your anonymous tips online at Crime Stoppers Hamilton's Website.
