Armed Robbery at Waterdown Bank

The Hamilton Police BEAR Unit is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at RBC in Waterdown.

On Thursday May 22, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Hamilton police responded to the RBC for a robbery. Officers learned that a single suspect entered the business and directed staff to turn over cash. The suspect carried a handgun during the robbery and fled prior to police arrival. 

The suspect is described as male, wearing a black face covering, grey Puma hoodie, black pants, and black Adidas shoes with white soles. The suspect was operating a grey Mazda, compact SUV prior to and after the robbery. Investigators from the BEAR Unit are appealing for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in the investigation.
