The Hamilton Police Service Shooting Response Team is investigating a shooting that occurred around 1:12 a.m. on May 28, 2025, near Mud Street West and Upper Centennial Parkway in Stoney Creek.
During the incident, an HSR bus was struck by gunfire. At this time, there is no indication the bus was intentionally targeted; it appears to have been passing through the area.
There were no passengers on the bus and no injuries were reported.
Investigators remain on scene today collecting surveillance footage and are asking area residents or drivers to review their home security or dash cam footage from the early morning hours of May 28. Any video that may assist in the investigation is encouraged.
