
Hamilton Police have laid multiple charges following the execution of search warrants as part of an ongoing drug investigation.
On June 5, 2025, members of the Hamilton Police Service Major Drugs and Gangs Unit executed search warrants at a residence and a vehicle in Hamilton's East End. The warrants were part of a targeted investigation into illicit drug trafficking and firearm offences.
As a result of the search, investigators located and seized the following items:
- A loaded Glock 22 handgun
- 26 rounds of ammunition
- Approximately 35 grams of suspected fentanyl
- Codeine and hydromorphone pills
- $1,740 in Canadian currency
- $170 in U.S. currency
Two individuals were arrested in connection with this investigation:
- Donavan Hines, 26, of Hamilton
- Selena Bockova, 24, of Hamilton
Both parties are jointly charged with:
- Possession of a Loaded, Prohibited Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphone
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Codeine
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000
Additionally, Donavan Hines was bound by a court-issued weapons prohibition order at the time of his arrest. He now faces four further counts of possession contrary to order.
