On Sunday, June 22, 2025, at approximately 8:50 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Rymal Road and Fletcher Road.
A 2013 Ford F-150 pickup truck was travelling eastbound on Rymal Road when it collided with a 2014 Mazda CX-5 SUV. The Mazda was heading westbound on Rymal Road and had turned left to travel south on Fletcher Road. The collision occurred during this maneuver.
The driver and passenger of the F-150 sustained minor injuries. The driver and passenger of the Mazda were transported to hospital. The Mazda driver remains in serious condition with life-threatening injuries, while the passenger is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, the Hamilton Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken over the investigation. Witnesses are urged to come forward.
Investigators are also asking any motorists in the area at the time to review their dashcam footage, and nearby residents or businesses to check their surveillance recordings.
