Hamilton Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a convenience store located on Fennell Avenue East near Upper Ottawa Street, on the East Mountain.
On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at approximately 12:48 a.m., a male suspect entered the store, concealed a firearm, and demanded cash from the employee. The suspect fled the area before police arrived and described as the following:
- White male, 20–22 years old
- Approximately 6 feet tall, thin build
- Wearing a green shirt, black pants, red and black shoes
- Carrying a green sling bag
- Tattoo on right forearm
The Hamilton Police BEAR Unit is actively investigating and working to identify the suspect. Police are asking anyone who was in the Fennell Avenue East and Upper Ottawa Street area between 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. on July 16 to review their home surveillance or dashcam footage for any suspicious activity or a suspect matching the description above.
