Alarm Security Systems

Verified Alarm Response Program

Beginning September 1, 2019, Hamilton Police joined other Ontario police services in requiring alarm companies to verify any signals they receive before calling us to dispatch police.

Verifying a signal prior to calling police will also be required when a home or business owner call police directly.

In order to dispatch police, alarm companies or an alarm user must verify that a criminal offence has/is occurring or there is imminent threat to personal safety through:

  • Each child is created in the image of God, and every person must be treated with respect and dignity.  Every Catholic child has the right to be safe and feel respected in and around the school
  • Bullying shall not be tolerated on school property, at school-related activities, on school buses or in any other circumstance (e.g. online) where engaging in bullying will have a negative impact on the school climate
