Hamilton Police are appealing for the public's assistance following a shooting at a residence in the area of Rymal Road East and Atessa Drive.
On July 7, 2026, shortly after 4:30 a.m., Hamilton Police responded to reports of shots fired at a residence. There were no reported injuries. Damage was limited to a parked vehicle in the driveway and the residence. A neighbouring residence was also struck by a stray bullet. The shooting is believed to be targeted.
Police continue to gather suspect information and are seeking to identify a white or light-coloured vehicle that was seen leaving the area and travelling toward Rymal Road East following the shooting.
Investigators are asking residents in the area to review their home surveillance footage for any video captured between 4:30 a.m. and 4:45 a.m. on July 7, 2026, that may assist with the investigation.
