Hamilton Police are searching for a male suspect following an altercation that left one person with a stab wound.
On Thursday, July 23, 2026, at approximately 4:50 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance at West Harbour GO Station, located at 353 James Street North. Initial reports indicated that a male had been involved in a physical altercation and was bleeding.
Officers located the victim, a 22-year-old from Hamilton, who was transported to hospital with a non-life-threatening stab wound.
The investigation has determined that the altercation began after an unknown male started going through the victim's belongings and ignored repeated requests to leave. The suspect then assaulted the victim while armed with an edged weapon, causing the victim's injury before fleeing the area.
The suspect is described as:
- Male
- Light-skinned
- Approximately 30 years old
- Approximately 5'9" tall
- Balding hairline with a dark beard
- Wearing a green tank top, light-coloured shorts, dark sunglasses, and white Puma-brand shoes
