
Hamilton Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the person or persons responsible for an arson at Christie Lake Conservation Area.
On Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at approximately 7:00 a.m., Hamilton Police and the Hamilton Fire Department responded to a structure fire at Christie Lake Conservation Area, located at 1002 Highway 5 in Flamborough.
Investigators determined the fire had been deliberately set. Two pavilion structures sustained extensive damage, estimated at more than $1 million.
The Ontario Fire Marshal was consulted and will not be attending the scene.
