Hamilton Police are investigating a homicide after a man died from injuries sustained during an assault in May.
On May 31, 2026, at approximately 11:20 a.m., police responded to the area of Wentworth Street North and Bristol Street following reports of an assault.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a serious head injury. He was transported to hospital, where he remained until his death on July 30, 2026.
The victim’s family has requested that his name not be released at this time.
The suspect is described as:
- Black male
- Medium build
- White T-shirt
- White shorts
- White bucket-style hat
The investigation remains ongoing, and detectives continue to pursue several investigative avenues.
