Hamilton Police have arrested a 15-year-old male in relation to the murder of Afef Binalfif and Abdulmalek Shibli on July 29, 2026. The male turned himself into police earlier this evening.
The 15-year-old male faces the following charges:
2nd Degree Murder X 2
Attempted Murder with a Firearm X 4
Further, Police have also arrested and charged a 34-year-old female with:
Accessory after the fact to Murder
Obstruct Police
Both individuals will be appearing in court on August 3, 2026. Investigators have also confirmed that only one firearm was discharged during the incident and the second firearm used during the exchange was an imitation firearm.
All identifying information and images related to the 15-year-old wanted in connection with the homicide must now be removed.
