Hamilton Police have identified the victim of the homicide that occurred on August 9 as 21-year-old Zenin Roussel of Hamilton.
The victim’s family has been notified and has asked for privacy as they grieve this tragic loss. Hamilton Police extend our sincere condolences to the family, friends and all those affected.
The Homicide Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding Zenin’s death. Investigators have determined that Zenin and the suspects were at King Street Billiards before the incident. After the establishment closed, an altercation occurred outside on King Street West.
Hamilton Police were called around 2:30 a.m. after Zenin was found with stab wounds by a taxi driver on Main Street West near Frid Street. He was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators continue to ask anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information that may assist with the investigation to contact Detective Alex Buck at 905-546-4123. Additionally, anyone with dash camera or video from the area between 2:00-2:45 a.m. is asked to check their cameras.
