Hamilton Police Investigating Greendale Drive Shooting

Hamilton Police are investigating a shooting after multiple rounds were fired at a residence on Greendale Drive.

On Friday, August 21, 2026, at approximately 10:45 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Greendale Drive.

Upon arrival, officers located multiple shell casings and several bullet strikes to a residence. Several rounds penetrated the home while occupants were inside. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Investigators have obtained video surveillance showing two vehicles leaving the area at a high rate of speed shortly after the shooting.

Hamilton Police remain in the area as officers continue to canvass for witnesses and video surveillance and process the scene. Residents can expect a continued police presence while the investigation is underway.

The Shooting Response Team has assumed carriage of the investigation and is working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

This marks the 19th shooting in Hamilton in 2026.

Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed suspicious activity to come forward. Residents are also asked to check security, doorbell and dash-camera footage from around the time of the shooting.
