Soaring to Success was a program in which 10 youth and 9 officers embarked on a 3 day event with the goal of fostering relationships between police and youth and to share a once in a lifetime experience together.   The first evening was at the Hamilton Police Central Station where ice-breaker games, a station tour, and a presentation from the ERU highlighted the night.  The Hamilton Air Cadets hosted the 2nd evening at the Armories where an interaction presentation was given along with team building activities.  The culminating event took place at the SOSA gliding club where youth and officers had an opportunity to fly as a passenger in a glider in flights ranging from 20-30 mins at 2000-3000 feet.   Team games were played and everyone enjoyed a BBQ together.   This was an exciting 3 day event which was greatly enjoyed by all involved.
