Arrest Made in Convenience Store Robberies

Hamilton Police BEAR Unit has investigated a series of robberies and determined one male was responsible. 38-year-old Wesley Uncles of Hamilton was arrested and appeared in court yesterday.

Between Tuesday, October 8, 2019 and Monday, December 9, 2019, three unrelated convenience stores in Hamilton were robbed by a lone male suspect. In one of the robberies, the store clerk received non-life threatening injuries from a knife when he confronted the suspect.

Through continued investigation, the suspect was identified and on Thursday, December 12, 2019, the suspect was arrested and search warrants were executed on his home and motor vehicle. The suspect was taken into police custody and appeared for a bail hearing later that day.

The investigation is still ongoing.
