Arrest Made in Convenience Store Stabbing

Hamilton Police have arrested a 36-year-old man from Hamilton for a stabbing that occurred Saturday night.

On Saturday, March 27, 2021, at approximately 11:18 p.m., police responded to a stabbing in progress call in the area of Main Street East and Wentworth Street North.

Police immediately searched the area with the Emergency Response Unit (ERU) and the Canine Unit. The search lead to the arrest of the 36-year-old suspect from Hamilton, who has since been charged and had his bail opposed.

Desousa will be appearing in court today.

Victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
